Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Stevie's biggest selling single of all time, and also his worst! :(

Yep. Although it made for a good scene in High Fidelity!

I died a little inside when he asked does it help you in the bedroom.

You can't ask people that, that's not funny. If you think about the amount of celebrities (who have influence over others and set trends) that Tubridy has sent running from Ireland never to return...

It was a typical Partridgean moment. Tubbs has plenty of them.

Jimmy Nesbitt only after getting the new hair put in and it's all turned grey... I hope he kept the receipt...

    Me too !

When its on, I'll also be on here on the laptop, and on Twitter on the phone.

    I'm so lame. :o

    Stevie Wonder answering the iron

It's funny isnt it you have an ad from SafeFood Ireland saying exactly what Katie Hopkins was saying and it's promoted by the Government.... And the audience of the Late Late were up in arms when Katie Hopkins made the same point...

I dont think the LLS audience are that clever though..... (and in case she doesnt fully get the bait).. especially the audience two weeks ago..

Q: Have you seen Stevie Wonder's new piano?

    A: Neither has he!

I saw him in concert once, he messed up the intro to a song and had to start again

He said "sorry about that, I wasn't looking at the keyboard"

    (not a gag!)

Does anyone else remember when farmers interrupted an EU Summit meeting back in 1996 when Ivan Yates was Minister for Agriculture? I'll never forget it, it was hilarious and very serious at the same time. That was way back when Irish people had some sense of outrage, now we tend to take all the sh1te the EU throw our way :(

Ivan is on now whoever it was wanted to know

I hope the OP is alright, s/he seemed very interested in The Game of Thrones, but seems to have disappeared.

Ivan looking very well, considering how awful he looked in that clip around the bankruptcy time.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,749 ✭✭✭✭grey_so_what

No better man than Ivan to play the game and turn it around when it turned Turk.

    A survivor as they say.

He better not play the Game of Thrones...you either win or you die.

Ivan lost a lot of cred when he came out with his whole "I was in England on my own earning nothing, sitting there with a pint, all alone" story.... particularly given that he had a state pension.. And the country was paying for his debts...

I like him on the radio though..

I've heard Yates boring tales of woe a thousand times. Tubridy interviewing this bereaved father is going to be ugly.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,973 ✭✭✭RayM

His father was a strict disciplinarian, a tough man and very tight with money.

I think the technical term is "a bit of a bollix".

Think it was the big rents on the Bookies he had that finished him, if you look at the same time PaddyPower grew and grew with the downturn of the economy, probably just a few bad decisions pre 2008 that finished him.

What party would a large land-owning farmer join?

I'd say the FG spin doctors hate Ivan as he manages to drill down through their bullsh1t press releases so people hear what's really going on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,569 ✭✭✭✭ProudDUB

The funeral thing in this country is mad. Unless the deceased is well known to the politician, it is a ridiculous waste of time just to curry votes.

He didn't develop a proper interactive website either for Celtic Racing. That's what done for him as well.
