Garmin 920xt pre orders

I for one would be interested in pre-ordering a 920xt, could we gauge interest so we might convince *someone* to set up a boards pre-ordering?

I gather Garmin learned alot about warranty's from the 910xt and warranty's will I believe be territory limited - i.e. US units dealt with in US.

Anyone who is interested in a boards pre-order speak now!

    Any RRP yet?

Dont see an option for the tri pack (with HRM & bike meter) on the US site.

Was looking at the option of ordering from the US, have a friend returning for Christmas so will be watching the warrenty issue closely.

    Biker meter tri pack?

Email just in - no tri-bundle available or priced yet.

920 will work on all existing cadence and speed sensors though a new cadence sensor is listed at €79.99

Ok these are correct. I was worried about conversions earlier but this is the listed RRP.

If you are interested in making a little saving just +1 this post and I will PM in blocks of 10 and set up a pre-order system once all details are confirmed.

    First in best dressed :)

BTW I also will be discounting Polar a little over the coming weeks ;)

Please dont let Tunney order one, especially after the 62 910xt watches he broke.

I've been categorically informed that Garmin will only handle warranty or returns through the originating retailler. Garmin UK (Ireland) will not touch a product bought outside that territory.

I wouldn't fancy my chances posting back and forth to the US the way customs are operating now.

Re pre-orders I'm working on a discount / rebate for anyone who pre-orders before launch. I'll let you know what works out.

+1 if I can find a buyer for my 910xt

Can you pair the 920 with any garmin hrm?

    +1 (with run metrics HRM)

Yes the 920 will work with any HRM but you won't get the run metrics. It will still do footpodless cadence but it less accurate than off the chest strap

Hi statler. . I don't think so. Shop was doing 920 with HRM for 490 if you reordered but expected the price to rise after general release.

Any pricing here yet and availability date.

    Thanks...

P's. . I just want one so I can tell the time.. class feature for a watch lol

The initial block that expressed interest in the boards pre-order is gone. If you PM me details of that offer I will price a second block of 10 boards units if there is interest.

Availability from Garmin is advised first week of November but you want to make sure your retailer has confirmed orders as supply is always tight.

REALLY worth checking the *actual* RRP rather than what some irish shops say is the RRP and "isn't their discount great". Actually no its a poxy four euro off RRP.

Hi AKW... did the watches arrive yet and whens the next order.. thanks M

There's a lot of gnashing of teeth at the moment.

To date, as of this morning's update, Garmin Europe have received no stock to distribute. It remains expected by the end of November for 1st week Dec to distribute but that is finger in the wind stuff from Garmin UK.

The watch contrary to perception is not on general release in Europe yet. Apparently a UK reseller has moved stock from the US to fill UK orders but no one knows if these are new stock or stock that was from the original batch of watches that were released and pulled.

Our pre-order deal is done and closed at the end of October, but I will happily look after anyone who didn't get in on it with a little boards.ie incentive. PM me if you are interested.

i hear the later models are going to be crippled, so that only those that got in on the preorder will get the full functionality which guarantees 25% free speed.

    pity you missed it..:D

Ah very good. On the Garmin forums no one has, but then again you only hear the complaints, not the compliments.
