Storage Heater alternatives

    Hi folks,

As we are now coming into the colder months, I was just wondering would anyone have any advice on the above?

We have those terrible storage heaters in our apartment, and I refuse to use them. You pay a premium for them with very little actual heat/comfort.

Has anyone come across any efficient product that will help heat up a room or two without breaking the bank energy wise?

    Cheers.

I replaced my storage heaters during the summer. Can't tell you yet whether the ones I replaced them with how efficient they are. Still 22c in apartment....

I was initially looking at Dimplex Quantum heaters but couldn't find any actual reviews of them other than marketing videos.

    I also considered Faro heaters.

Then my builder mentioned Rointe heaters and that he had many satisfied customers with those.

Dont know who/what to believe though as i too am fed up with storage heaters.
Have removed all of them now. I work from home a lot and simply cannot do with the storage heaters losing heat by mid afternoon and having to use the electric heater anyway.

Will be putting in underfloor heating as i am replacing the flooring soon - probably with an intelligent thermostat such as a Nest. And then consider the Rointe for the times when a boost or quick heatup is needed.
