I have a few old mobiles which I would like to give to a charity, but Have been hesitant to do it. My problem is that I have some sensitive information on the one mobile, but cannot access the phone information any more, as the screen has gone blank. I am not very tech savy but am concerned that someone else may be able to access the info. Does anyone know how I could be sure that the phone is wiped clean before I give it away?

To reset a Zylo without screen working, you can try connecting it to a computer and doing this, 2nd option.

If you don't have a charity lined up already I'd like to suggest https://rfcx.org/
Rainforest Connection (RFCx) transforms recycled cell-phones into autonomous, solar-powered listening devices that can monitor and pinpoint chainsaw activity at great distance.

I've tried the reset procedure described a few time previously and again now, but because I've no screen I cannot set the phone to the correct USB mode for PC Companion to complete the procedure. Is there anything else you could suggest.

Not really, possibly you can magnetise it but it would also ruin it.
Maybe destroy this one and give the rest away?

    Give the charity money.

    Destroy the phones.
