Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Why! We're at home.

Newcastle have won 7 out of 9. Our form has been patchy. Just after an away game in Turkey (rather easy win as it was). Defence is patched together. Don't trust Per Mert without Kosser. Flamini isn't up to it. Ramsey out too is a blow.

A few things pointing towards a Newcastle win. That and I need money for a few beers tonight so i was hunting for a long shot. :o

Whats that got to do with it?

    Are you an Arsenal supporter?

I sometimes back against us too.

It tends to soothe my rage when we lose, because at least I made some money off it.

Whats that got to do with it?

Because if you are and can bet against them, that's pretty low.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,752 ✭✭✭Mr Blobby

If you put bets on us to lose then you're obviously a Spurs fan..

..And there's no way to convince me otherwise.

Not at all, betting has nothing to do with the heart. It's a worth while bet today with the obvious problems and there form.

That said. I'll be backing Giroud first goal score, he likes a goal against this lot

Low? I'm sure Arsenal and myself will cope just fine.

Following my heart and backing only Arsenal to win this season, I'd be down a fortune with Arsenal having won only 6 out of 15 games.

You wont hear me crying when if Arsenal win today.

We have a good record against Newcastle but we are short today and both teams to score is a good bet.
I usually do 3 matches with both teams to score.

Not a bad little bet. Do you looking at goals for/against and pick you teams from the most likely?

    Arsenal v Newcastle
    Sunderland v West Ham
    Swansea v Spurs (Sun)

These 3 with both teams to score is my bet for the weekend works out at 4.5 / 1 with Boylesports. Your bet will run to the 90th minute too.

I've been backing Arsenal since the 2-2 draw with Everton and I'm evens. Not bothered about being up or down, just doing it to add more excitement to the games. Newcastle are a great price today though and are in better form than us. Stuck them in an accum.

Honestly with that back four we'll need to have someone who's willing to track back from the wing. Poldi won't.. Welbeck will.

First goal -- Santi, He just has to improve his scoring record. This could be the game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Plenty of goals in this for you today lads.

Williamson is utterly hopeless. Not selecting Haidara and moving Dummett to CB is mind boggling.

And playing Gouffran is like starting with 10 players.

You'd play Sanchez as a CMF?

Yes? He has played there on numerous occasions

Who did he play in CM for? Juve Udinese? Always been a forward I thought. Reckon Cazorla is more suited to that role anyway, Sanchez gives the ball away too much to play there imo. Don't see how playing our best forward in central midfield would be a good move with the squad the way it is anyway.

I thought we were riddled with injuries but Newcastle look thin there. Gonna go 3-2 us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,752 ✭✭✭Mr Blobby

    Sanchez never played CM.
He played as a second striker at Udinese and wide striker at Barca.

Going for a 2-1 Newcastle today. Think we'll be found out defensively again with their pace. First 10 minutes should tell us everything about the game

    I agree.

It would be moving our biggest goalscoring threat to a place he can't score goals, and and also moving the player that gives the ball away the most to the place where it becomes suicidal to do that.
