Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Happy with that XI

    Who's on the bench?

Only question is how the Mert/Chambers CB pairing goes.

As long as he doesn't go too far forward. Don't want to see a high line with their pace.

He doesn't usually tho (Flam) Mert gets lost imho

I bet we will see debuchy at CB

also what's the crack with coq been on the bench over bellerin that's weird

Hope so. He looked good there last time although one game says very little.
I get very jittery when Chambers is CB as he gets bullied a bit.

After seeing that Liverpool team, someone is going to get absolutely hammered. Lets hope for no repeat.

More versatile, coq can play anywhere in the back and also flams role.

    Debuchy is CB

We have Monreal on the bench that can cover CB and Lb

Matkined niles can cover flaminis poistion

So it looks like coq is back up right back

Bellerin also injured according to Wenger.

Seems emergingstar is bang on about Debuchy being in the centre again according to the sky pundits.

    Injured

    That explains it so

Ha, you'll never walk alone always makes me laugh.

Oooh, look at us we're so special with our precious little song.

    Hope we stuff them.

Have to get the ball first. Cant get near them so far. Thank god they don't have an actual striker

This is why I'd no confidence today we haven't shown up at l barely strung 3 passes in 40mins

Hopefully a rollicking at half time

I have said it before, Flamini is the worst player at arsenal, needs to be gone in January.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 35,514 ✭✭✭✭efb

    Flamini on last chance

What a shambles of a half.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

Come on Arsene sort them fcukin out half time!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,428 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Very lucky to be going in all square here.
Some of our players are clearly not up for it and don't deserve to be representing Arsenal.
Wenger needs to bang a few heads in the dressing-room but we know that is unlikely.
We have hardly put two passes together and that's not good enough.

Haven't seen us pass this badly since dortmund away, and we all know how that went!

Good to get one back just before halftime but no consolation for this disgraceful play, flamini acting the bullocks, chambers having a nightmare and giroud completely isolated.

Still another half left so come on you gunners!!

back to usual business for arsenal playing poorly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,456 ✭✭✭wonga77

So so lucky to be level at ht. Seemed pool had an extra man there in the 1st half. We can't get any passing momentum together and they aren't pressing us too hard to get it back. Flamini has to be taken off before he's sent off

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,756 ✭✭✭emergingstar

    90 seconds into the game

    Mother of God

Pool did have an extra man in some areas. We were totally focused on defending.

There was actually a mature approach to this. Keep midfielders deep, let them have possession in some areas.

That said our front players have stunk.

Also if you're going to play defensively for a spell and hope to nick one, you have GOT to be able to take a corner. That was the biggest dissappointment for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,428 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Can't believe Flamini is still on for the 2nd half.
Wenger should have subbed him as he'll be sent off.

    Twice more, lovely.

I especially like the way it leaves your slow defence wide open to a counterattack.

Hahaha, who the hell was marking Giroud like?!

This is such a strange game, nice to be playing poorly and still ahead instead of losing playing good stuff for a change

To be fair, we haven't done the latter all season. Just generally playing poorly.

Not a bad result considering the performance but feels like a loss if I'm honest.
