Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    KDFL, and CCFL.

    Check Mate.

Haven't read his book so can't comment on incident. But still, do you really think that some players go out intentionally to injure others? I think its more a heat of the moment thing.

So i sit for 90mins in front of my PC watching a crappy stream while on a 1mb connection only to see us lose 2-0.

Then i go out for a meal and guess what's on the TV? Yep you guessed it Spurs v Chelsea.. So for the next 2 hours i've to look at that mess.

They also put tar tar sauce on my Cod and chips... Like WTF!!

Just to add a bit of perspective.

Last week I said that Wenger's out of currency, that mangers like Jose are allowed a slip but that any poor result for Arsenal is basically seen as a direct translation of Wenger's gross incompetence.

Last two weeks have seen a lot of poor results for teams in the top half of the league. Winning one and losing one is about as good as anyone tbh - especially when it's been two away games to teams above us.

Spurs have taken 13 out of 15?

Perspective my arse, we were 6th and we're still 6th. If we were in 2nd place and bumbling along then fair enough, it's a bit different when we're bumbling along in 6th.

That's a lazy argument and unfair he worked hard for the team when he has played and contributed with important goals.

It's okay to not be bothered about him leaving but 'good ridence' my ass he deserves more respect than that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 727 ✭✭✭Muirshin Durkin

I'll be sad to see him go, baffles me why he wasnt given any sort of proper run or even more game time considering our injury problems. Vicious left foot he has, i wish him all the best.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,676 ✭✭✭✭Ol' Donie

I'd be very sorry to see Poldi go, but it's clear Arsene doesn't think he fits into the team. Shame.

Glad Podolski is going, he deserves better than to sit on the bench and be ignored in favour of Yaya Sanogo. Does anyone know how long is left on his contract? Can only hope Cologne can afford to buy him back again if the Inter deal isn't permanent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,342 ✭✭✭Bobby Baccala

100% agree podolski deserves better than to rot on our bench in hope of being brought on for 5 mins only to end up playing right back or something.

In the right squad he could put away goals for the fun of it, hopefully he gets another chance in the bundesliga!

    Podolski is not good enough

The system doesn't suit him, we have better wingers, we have better people to play up top

    Leave him off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Off with Pod to be honest. Although he is likable and has a savage left foot, he is a nothing player. But saying that I would like to see him replaced. I get the feeling Ill be disappointed in that aspect.

    Pretty much this ^

Its not that he's a bad player. He just doesn't fit our system which in turn makes him underperform.
In the right system and the right league he will flourish and i wish him all the best.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,694 ✭✭✭emmetlego

I love Pod, has scored some great and very important goals for us, but I agree with most here, let him go, I wish him well.

As for some of the other posts (Shawcross etc…) I mean WTF?!?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,756 ✭✭✭emergingstar

For all the slating arteta gets in here ( me included)

We havent won games consistently without him since he joined

    Massively important to this team

Settle the heads lads. We're all Gunners here.

On the Podolski thing I feel our style didn't suit him and I wish him well if he goes. A likeable lad.

Wanting change doesn't amount to lack of respect, I want him to move on as much as anyone burnt jaysus do I respect the man.

Pod has never dirtied his bib with us he may not fit the system but he deserves respect

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,690 ✭✭✭✭Skylinehead

Podolski isn't good enough for our system. He's a great finisher, fantastic even, but that's about it. He doesn't work very hard, his movement is poor, and doesn't do a lot from general play. I think he'd flourish in a 4-4-2 with a more tactically astute partner, but that's not happening in our system. He's invisible as a lone striker.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,694 ✭✭✭emmetlego

Not a done deal I'd say. Yes, AW has admitted they've improved their offer, but I seriously doubt, with the pressure he's under, that he'd let a fan favorite go without getting a good amount of wanda for him… Maybe replace him with a fella from PSG maybe??

Will be strange if sanogo, Campbell and pod or allowed leave

But he did leave verm, Jenks and miquel leave in the summer

So I wouldn't even try second guess the man

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,409 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Match of the Day just starting.
I want to see the howlers again as my stream was bad.
I also want to see if Walcott actually came on too and if so at what stage.

With how little Pod is used its not a big loss to the squad, hopefully the money freed up allows something else big to happen!

I dont like pod everyone knows that

Possibly but with all the injuries we've had already he has still had little game time.

Time well but hopefully Pod out and someone better in

    Two big BIG mistakes.
Chez probably at fault for both.
We were lucky it was only 2 nil.
    No midfield worth a damn.
Kos not fit, Mert is a big girl's blouse.
It was an Arsenal fan who confronted Wenger - not nice.
Our team today was a shambles.
Keown is right - "this is happening too often".

It was poor alright. Why did no one get on the line when Chez wandered off his line? Jesus, you do that in five a side.

The second was preposterous. Most Arsenal defending imaginable. Just missing the red card for Kos.

The pr*ck who ran over to Wenger deserves a slap, and no mistake.

Am I the only fan that still has faith in Wenger? Though him not resigning Cesc has left a bitter taste.
