Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In fairness the whole team have been awful in the final third. He has had to come deep to get any ball.

    4th, ambitious!

We have 25 odd minutes to save our season. That's no exaggeration.

It's relevant as we are discussing Arsenal, we had a chance to sign him, we didn't, and without Özil we look more limp than a 70 year old without his Viagra

But at least the others have a high work rate...

In no offence to you, fcuk fourth, whats the point of fourth if we get nowhere in the champions league? sick of fourth.

I agree i was being sarcastic sick of fourth too but that wont change until their is a change with the club. Ownership first has to change.

Arsene Wenger is gradually sucking the life out of this club. We are going nowhere until he is gone

I agree we look absolutely shocking in the final third and we did have the chance to sign Fab but we didnt and that should be that regarding the situation. It has been talked about repeatedly since Chelsea signed all that had to be said is said.

Even if we win 3-2 which i cant see happening we have been awful again today. The regression has been massive.

No excuses for this today its absolutely piss poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,216 ✭✭✭Looper007

This isn't good enough, I think Wenger needs to look himself in the mirror and tell himself is he the man to take us forward.

Difference from last season: -8 points after 8 matches, -5 on corresponding fixtures.

    Progress!

    I'll back my point up with and it's not just about today;

He doesn't know how to use our two best players.
    Tactically he doesn't exist anymore.
He just can't beat any of the top teams.
    He can't recruit properly.
He persists with players he's backed and stays that way until the end.
This team has no winning mentality.
He has forgot about strength, his beat team was built around it.
He is a club man or a yes man as they call it.

I know a lot will disagree and think this is a wobbler but it's not for me the time has just come to step over the fence.

We will not get back anywhere near the top level until he has gone.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

    Dire again

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,940 ✭✭✭omega man

They said we were over the tough run of games. They said we'd go on a run. Yeah.

Rubbish result. The late point doesn't even paint over the cracks. We seemed to only start playing in the 90th min. I'll wait a bit to comment on Wenger.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,216 ✭✭✭Looper007

it took us until the 91 minute to put in any kind of effort . What is going on with us this season, the blame is at Wenger's door.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Wenger you had a good run but its time now to step aside. I cant take another three years of this rubbish!

we've been here before, the home defeats to West Brom and Swansea spring to mind. We can still turn this around, awful as today was

Wenger saying Chelsea spent more than us a few weeks ago. What is his excuse today?

As long as the clubs making money I doubt the board will give a damn unless the fan's get on them and Wenger. We are to blame for it too for letting it go on this long. When we have fans like Raf and others saying getting top 4 is a our main goal then we have a problem.

For me it's different than before, this is meant to be the new Arsenal the one that competes, a poor result is fine but we are just reliving seasons again and again and again and again........

There are very few clubs in the world who have the finances and club stature like us to compete and still accept Wengers mediocrity

Its not that greendom, we aren't seen a step up or improvement over last year. He hasn't bought the players needed and we shouldn't be losing points agains't Hull at home. we can turn it around for what really? fighting for 4th again.

Can we really compete with Chelsea and City and those investing a lot in their squads?

Rafs point was sarcastic about what the club deem acceptable he is off the fence a long time.

The club needs a shake up on and off the field everyone is just cosy

Bellerin was good today, and I liked what I saw from campbell

Hope both start during the week

That's the thing we have the money to compete but our Manager is far too loyal to poor players. We need a manager who won't be afraid to upset players, who won't be afraid to splash the cash when needed and be able to have a plan b and not get wound up by rival managers.

Wenger has been given plenty of time to improve and this season we've yet to see it.
