Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anybody actually know anything about Anderlecht?? Have no idea what to expect!

They wear purple, that's all I got.

Nice to have players on the bench full stop :pac:

Knowing our luck, the bench will collapse half way through, resulting in all the players on it getting injuries.

"And here is the 6th placed keepper, Huddart, making his first competitive injury debut for Arsenal."

Typical Wenger drop the specialised right back replace him with one if your only two fit CBs and play your cover left back at CB.

In fairness, Chambers is more a RB than a CB, but I agree. I'd much rather have Bellerin start on the right and Chambers in the middle. Bellerin is one of the few positives from the last while, he's been improving every game.

Chambers is much more of a CB than a RB. His attacking play is quite poor.

Not that interested in the CL as we have no chance of winning it and only make up the numbers anyway. Therefore i'd have liked to have seen Hayden getting a game at Cb and getting the experience needed for the EPL. It won't do his confidence a lot of good if Wenger picks a LB instead of him.

Our bread and butter football is the EPL and it's the competition I prefer to watch and try to win. If we can't win our own league then we can't win this.

Well no one told Liverpool Real or Chelsea in the last few years that. Tayto you are a good man but it's a little silly to dismiss it.

Both their first choice strikers are on the bench, they have another forward playing at left back according to flashscore, which seems odd.

Currently top of the Jupiter League but have not won last three games in all comps

I really do not believe we can win this with the team we have.
I'd prefer to give the EPL our best shot.
Not enough investment in the team to challenge for the Cl in my opinion.

Love watching Sanchez. He is beginning to settle in. Love his tricks.

Chambers lucky not to pick up another booking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,408 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

Sanchez should have taken that free.

Ridiculous from Flamini - lucky to get away with that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,747 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

Our corners continue to be greater chances for the opposition than us.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 52,408 ✭✭✭✭tayto lover

I see Wenger has them practicing corners.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

How often do our corners turn into attacks for the opposition - too often !

If only we had someone solid in front of defence to prevent that. :pac:

Not watching the match tonight myself, basically no internet. So I'm relying on yous to inform me. :P

    Refs a big homer here

No speed in our attack at all lately.
Not much urgency about us yet either.
This team are there for the taking. Need to put this to bed early.

Side has plenty of pace, has to be tactics as to why we never have runners in behind and seem to play at snails pace

If that is the case then as I already thought Wenger is a very poor tactician.

Its just all gone very stale isnt it. We are so predictable.

Scraping a win tonight would lift a lot of pressure for the last 3 matches with the Galatasaray result. Can we do it or will we need a result on the last matchday? :pac:

We are ****e, looked it all season, the worrying thing, can't see us picking up form anytime soon. Done with this season already.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,516 ✭✭✭jonneymendoza

Ridiculous. Keep it up lads and every single member here will ask for wengers head

  • Registered Users Posts: 727 ✭✭✭Muirshin Durkin

Feel sorry for Sanchez, Barcelona to this crap.

I think Ozil discovered the same thing.

I challenge anyone to say Wenger isn't killing this club. What a fcukin disgrace the club has been let continue with these levels of performance

I really really hope the home fans make our voice heard at the next game.

**** that, at least Sanchez is playing better than the dross around him, Ozil has not.

I think its the mentality of the team more than anything, the ability is there. There just doesn't seem to be any passion. Alexis and chamber are the main people who look like they want to win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

Jaysus that was some turnaround .

I'll take ity least we finally won a game a rare thing these days.

But we really need to start improving and soon.

Delighted for Pod to he gets a lot of stick but does pop up with goals.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 393 ✭✭Its Only Ray Parlour

We were fúcking awful. I'm not proud of that win.

Might seem a bit dramatic but i'd rather not take it, covers Wenger again so we'll trod along just above water.

I don't mind more pain if it forces the club in the right direction long term.

That score tonight hides too many problems

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,205 ✭✭✭Gringo180

Poor poor performance but a win is a win. I just hope Wenger doesnt mention mental strength in his interview. Hopefully with the return of Walcott it will inject a bit of urgency into our play.

Have no idea how we're churning out such crap performances week after week, but happy out with how that ended up!

I'd still rather see the team win regardless of how I feel about management, board, players or tactics. The score didn't hide anything imo, everyone knows we didn't deserve it.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,828 ✭✭✭gosplan

For now, without looking long term, we need Arteta back asap.

I know some people aren't his biggest fan and he hasn't shown up against quality opposition but he keeps the whole thing ticking over against weaker teams.

We always look ****e and pedestrian without him playing.

The battery is dying on my laptop and I left the charger at work, will someone put up what wenger says in general please

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Absolutely dire again tonight but will take it. Podolski is some finisher, pity he doesnt have more to his game. Thought we looked a lot better when Flamini and Wilshere came off. Santi was a passenger too. Sanchez deserves so much better.

Honestly Mickeroo I have felt that way every time before but not now, the club is been ran too cozily everyone happy with mediocrity.

I want change now and results like tonight drag us on and delays it

Must be some jump down in attitude from Barcelona to Arsenal for Alexis.

His reaction at the final whistle say more than anyone ever could.

You would rather we didn't win

And you got a load of likes

    Fcuk right off

Anyone who doesn't think we need a DM and a CB should be forced to watch that game over and over again.

    Yeah.

I'm sorry. I get there's disharmony but we won and that's always always good.

We're going through horrible form and a load of injuries. Losing more games does not help in any way.
