Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nice to see the Ox rested for midweek. Good rotation saving Gibbs too. Hopefully this wont be too nervy. If Giroud were to score, Welbeck could find himself on the wing a lot more.

Arsenal: Martinez, Chambers, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Flamini, Ramsey, Welbeck, Alexis, Cazorla, Giroud

    4-4-2 or 4-2-3-1?

Interesting to see both Giroud and Welbeck playing together.

    3-0

Will he be out wide with Cazorla in the middle I wonder? Could be any combination of the three behind Giroud really.

We have a great record at The Hawthornes.
Expect a handy win 2 or 3 nil.

    true.
It gives some flexibility in the game, if things go wrong.

Ox for welbeck/ giroud in the 2nd half if things are going well then both (welbeck prob fitter)and gibbs start the next game... Rotation ftw!

You can't rotate your in form players when you need points. Gibbs Ox and Sanchez has been arsenal best performers lately got to play IMO

Busy schedule coming up, and a trickier game midweek after a game wednesday. Definitely ok with it.

Think monrael could do well today and have extra confidence back in his preferred posirion.

Think the little engine that could (Sanchez) won't be rested and wellbeck could be quite industrious as usual facilitating giroud him and Sanchez starting without the team lacking in def.

As usual with rotation, win and Wenger's a genius lose and he was crazy to change things

Flamini in the CB position when we were in possession. There's an obvious shift in our approach.

Why is that? If that's the case Sanchez needs a rest

Gibbs is a lot more injury prone to be fair.

Don't want to do a George hamilton on him but I like Martinez. Seems a bit better at distribution than Szczesny and more in control... queue the inevitable blunder...

I genuinely believe Kos is the best cb in the world. makes us look so much better. I dont even care if im biased!

Just spotted the game on BT Sport. I could have sworn it was a 3pm kick off today. I planned my afternoon around a 3pm kick off.

    Weekend ruined.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,177 ✭✭✭Irish Aris

West Brom didn't have a single attempt on goal so far.
    Should we be worried??? :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Some nice interchanges between the front 3 with Ramsey and Cazorla in that first half - hopefully more of that in the second and we can capitalise

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,012 ✭✭✭✭Alfred Borden

Ox on for Giroud around 60 minute mark if we dont score.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

Brilliant from Santi - Foster should have saved though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,751 ✭✭✭✭AdamD

I'd be interested to see Chambers interception stats, always seems to pick the ball up, a real natural.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,940 ✭✭✭omega man

Ground that out. Anyway back to back wins and clean sheets with a more defensive approach. Getting there.

Good performance, not easy this early after the mid week game. Very important 3 pts.
