    As per title, moving into a new house soon and will be starting with a blank canvas to work from. Looking for any sort of bargain alerts/tips for saving a bit of cash during the stressful process of starting in a new home..

    Anything along the line of:
    Carpet
    Paint
    Wall paper
    Light fixtures
    Alarms
    Moving furniture etc..

    Anything recommend to get the best deals at the moment. Might be a useful thread for others in the same boat too:confused..
