My niece had her eyebrows lasered off and then had new ones tattooed on.

Looks stupid and fake, like her tan, extensions, lashes and nails and most everything else about her.

Agreed, it looks horrible. Makes a woman look like an unrealistic doll.

She hasn't shaved them she has blocked them out with concealer by the looks of it. When she takes it off they are still there.

Correct though it's not for me. But hey she can do what she wants and people hate being told what to do.

Here's some on behalf of the ladies.

Men, you know how you think that GAA shirt looks good? It doesn't.

Men, you know how you think that beer belly isn't really noticeable? It is.

Men, you know how you think that what you find attractive is what all women should be doing? It isn't.

I can't say I've seen many women who do that, eastern European or otherwise.

It's a bit of a confidence boost knowing people dress solely to please me.

They look even worse when they're huge rectangular brows with pointy tips, usually found on women who have dubious shades of orange fake tan and whose homes are on wheels.

I just think it is a shame that more women do not realise that the vast majority of them look better without any make-up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,958 ✭✭✭_Whimsical_

I have to say as a woman I do think this is a pretty unfortunate look. Women are being made fools of with this one to sell beautician services and makeup products, it doesn't suit anyone.

Women: stop it, you're grand as you are!

Excessive make up on a young girl is on the same level as a bald man growing a comb-over/getting a toupee.

    It makes no sense what-so-ever.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Of course our opinions matter just as yours does where we are concerned.

But if you want to look like crap and then wonder why you can't find a bloke...i'll leave you to it.

I'd have no argument with your first two points above.

I don't have any problem with threads about how terrible GAA shirts look, or about how terrible the shaved&painted eyebrow look is. In both cases, it's just people poking fun at a fashion.

Of course, it's a different story if somebody's lost hair due to illness; then it's not really a choice.

If they waxed the hair from their bellies and drew back on hair with marker you might be coming close to a respectable analog.

Girls, those muffin tops are noticeable, that's more like your bit. It's just being mean. What the OP has posted is so stupid, there is no comparison. Shaving your face and then scribbling on a beard, lol.

    good for you
    thats what you think
    not what all men think
not all men think the same thing
women dont have to do what you think is attractive
or not do what you personally find unattractive
    ok

Actually now that I think about it, this trend is an anti-feminist conspiracy.

Feminists should be up in arms about this sort of thing.

It's the massive HD brows that look like they were drawn on with a permanent marker that annoy me, especially with blonde hair!

If we're talking about attraction here as opposed to women just dressing how they want, the fact is, if you're trying to attract a man or woman, you subconsciously do things to attract the man or woman you're interested in.

When I was in my late teens/early twenties with dyed red hair, my nose ring and indie/alternativey-looking clothes etc, I wasn't looking for a suit, I was looking for a fella into his music and more relaxed in his appearance and not a flashy kinda fella.

Even now I always dress in a relaxed way because I'd want a fella who's similar and that's how it's always worked out.

Women who make a massive effort going out and get really dressed up in fake tan and make up are not looking for some crusty metaller fella with terrible hygiene, for example.

Those women who you don't find attractive probably don't care just as the fella in a rugby jersey, chinos and dubarrys doesn't care that I wouldn't be into him as he probably wouldn't give me a second glance anyway. All good.

Generally you see people paired off with people who'd dress in a similar fashion to them.

Moral of the story: don't worry about women doing whatever the fook they want with their eyebrows because you're probably not who they're hoping to meet anyway...if they're hoping to meet anyone.
