Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'm 17, 5'8or9 about 10 stone and I want get myself a bike!, always loved bikes but I've never rode one. How can I get into bikes? I don't know much about them (about buying/fitting) my uncle rode a few bikes in his day but he's hasn't for years. So I doubt he'd know too much about newer ones.

    Also what about gear, u don't plan on skimping on it as I sort of like moving..

    How much should I be looking to spend in total?

    And on your average beginners bike what would I be looking for insurance (also any suggestions on beginner bikes?)
    I wouldn't really be buying one for a year anyway.. (Need a bit of bob and my dad's not too keen on bikes)

    I know I'm asking a lot but if ye can answer any of it at all this may become my new favourite area of the boards!
