Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Ugh god.

We really have to do better.

This is a weakened Everton team that struggled to draw against a poor Liverpool team last week.

Don't care what Owen says...De Gea was motm there. A few incredible saves.

Ronaldo players left wing mate :pac: But fair enough. Falcao is a fantastic striker but not top 3 yet. See how he does this year after injury. Prolific for Porto/Atletico.

Nominally he starts there sure, but Real really play with three up front for the most part.

Nah. They were decent last 10 mins but United, Falcao in particular, had a fair few chances earlier to put this to bed.

Draw wouldn't have been unfair. Until around 85 mins, a United win would have been fair.

De Gea the difference between victory and ignominy

    i think its pronounced "draw"

Its strange that Everton looked like the side that had the week off in the last 15 minutes, and Utd looked like they'd had a red eye from Russia.

Ah yeh I was joking mate. Anyway, well played De Gea. Everton dead 45mins. Missed Peno. Played better once we scored. Conceded fell dead untill last 10. Ffs.

2-1, as far as I'm concerned Falcao already has a goal.
    Good call!

Shouldnt Liverpool be wishing for a utd win since they are fighting Everton for a Europa spot this season?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

And THAT... is why David de Gea is amongst the very best keepers in the world after Neuer and Courtois.

We are also weakened. Gary Neville put it best last week when he said that you don't just find form. You dig it out and play yourself into it. Wins like this and the West Ham one when ddown to 10 help with that.

Yep. Always good to see Everton drop points to mid-table sides.

Liverpool fans don't like either team winning! Draw would have been the hope

If that makes you feel better about yourself. :)

I'm just happy we didn't suffer the embarrassment, shame and ignominy of drawing with Everton. Christ, that would be an awful feeling. You'd have to know your team was going to struggle badly if that was the case, right? :pac:

United deserved their win today. The fact their fans are celebrating being 4th in the table shows how well other teams are doing right now. Hopefully Chelsea can get a big win here this afternoon to put the pressure back on!

Nope. But United are a better bet to challenge Chelsea and City than anyone else in my opinion.

Bless all the tryers in here today. It got so desperate it went to DDG's haircut.

No less than i expected. Arsenal will show how close they are by getting hammered today. Liverpool have bought atrociously and are nowhere near last season. Spurs are Spurs. Everton are Everton. Who else do you think can challenge Chelsea or City? Says more about the rest of the league than United being flawless, they clearly are not.

What is Martinez on about for our second goal. Why does he think that the ref should have stopped the game? Fecking Shaw was down at one stage and I didn't see his team try and stop the game nor the ref.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Martinez is a whinger, nothing new there. Hypocritical whinger.

I think what he was saying is that he is intensely bitter.

Martinez whinging about refs again. Was awful for it at Wigan and now complaining that the ref didn't blow up for pienaar going down, which isn't in the laws. He also didn'tblow up when Shaw went down. Never liked the bloke.

That being said, Friend was awful. Bizarrely inconsistent decision making
