He's a completely different type of player, and I think that is what disappointed Mourinho - I am assuming he got rid of him because he wasn't showing any signs of change. Built like a monster truck but thinks he's a sports car.

I meant resemble as in he physically looked a bit like a young Drogba and burst onto the scene at a time when Drogba was doing the business. But i agree with you

Oh yeah, completely. Real shame in a way too, especially being good friends with Drogba and his recent return there. If he were willing to be more physical Chelsea could have gone quite seamlessly from 8 years or so of Drogba to another 10-12 of Lukaku (barring the 2 years in the middle with the Torres debacle). Must be very disappointing for them.

Likewise, Mata/Oscar/Hazard was arguably the best '3' behind the striker in the world with all pretty to very young. Would be gutting to see them broken up despite Mourinho's success since.
