Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If Ozil isn't in the middle of the pitch, he isn't worth anything.

Like Mata, you only get the great things out of them through the middle.

Agreed play him through the middle or not at all.

A lot more often than I'd like, I've noticed that he doesn't come to collect the ball and the Chelsea players have obviously copped on because they are just making that extra step and collecting the ball virtually unchallenged.

He did that 3 times that I noticed a few matches ago. It's incredibly frustrating.

Schurrle having a poor game, won't be on for much longer I would think.

How Is his position relevant to that horror touch?

The touch was a microcosm of his game for several months. Wengers persistence with this is horrid management.

Play him through the middle or don't play him.

Our passing is absolutely shocking today considering our game is based primarily on possession and passing.

Too slow giving the final ball.
    Allowing Chelsea to get back.

    Shoot ffs Welbeck

Why is the game being stopped for a finger injury

FFS player starts rolling around and all our momentum is gone.

Arsenal have too many lads standing. No movement off the ball. Far too easy to defend against. Only Sanchez shows any form of urgency

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

Stopping the game because he hurt his ****en finger. What's the ref doing.

    Finger injury oh ffs

Too many bodies between him and the goal. He wasn't going to score from there and did the right thing pulling it back to the edge of the box.

    Nice play by Wilshere there.

Would like to see that shot again. Looked like decision should have went our way.

Awful from ref for a sore finger

Typical Chelsea ethos, drop and roll and stay down.

Poor decision from Arsene Cazorla has been class

The Arsenal passing in the Chelsea half has been very poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,224 ✭✭✭✭Marty McFly

Should be Ozil coming off, although it must mean Ozil going central and Ox going out wide.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

    Mikel, ffs.

Cazorla off surely means Ozil into the middle? About time

So, Mikel is still a chelsea player then

The Arsenal passing in the Chelsea half has been very poor.

It's been very good bar final third. Chelsea packing the defense and we are trying to force it abit

Takes Cazorla off and leaves Ozil on! Bad call, Sanchez looks ready to boil over! Can see him doing something daft

The sooner they implement a forced period on the sidelines for stopping the game due to an "Injury" the less we'll see stupid stoppages cutting up teams momentum. As is players just go down when they're up against it. Get a minute of "treatment" walk to the sidelines then run straight back on. If they had a mandatory 2 -5mins on the sideline we'd see a lot fewer fake injuries.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,262 ✭✭✭✭GavRedKing

Arsenal better in the 2nd half

Agreed. We're absolutely walking. One would think we were 3-0 up and not 1-0 down. A dream to play against. Only Sanchez showing any form of urgency. Wouldnt consider Santi the worst of us today either. Ozil has been fúcking pants.

That's completely daft. You would have teams hurting the opposition and then using the man advantage to score.

Costa has been pretty quiet today, Drogba to come on?

Im just spitballing. They need something. Theres nothing stopping players injuring other players now , except yellow and red cards.

Retrospective punishment would work. That's the answer to most things. Diving, faking injuries, fouls not seen, etc. Video evidence needs to be used after every game and isn't. It would solve a lot of problems.

Hopefully he'll shake that Ozil and tell him cop the fúck on. Getting tired of the excuses for him too.

The fact that we haven't had a shot on target goes against that.

Drogba is injured. Remy is on the bench but Costa can't do anything if the ball never gets anywhere near him. Chelsea are in shut up shop mode and I fear, like at City, it'll prove to be a mistake.

Frank Lampard scored half his goals with deflected shots through packed boxes. There is two ways to look at it. One. There is an increased chance it will be blocked, but also two if it makes it through it's almost a guaranteed goal as a deflection will take the keeper out of the equation.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

Great work by Costa to set up that chance.

Ball by Costa, eye of a needle.

But it will never be implemented properly. The player could say "I actually had a sore finger and the stoppage helped me recover" Unless the refs cop on and enforce the "Only stop the game for head injuries" there needs to be some incentive to discourage the fake injury stoppages.

Yea it not like he had a MOTM performance only a couple of weeks ago when played in his preferred position or anything.
