I like the shootouts myself and I don't think they should allow a game to end in a tie.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

    I like a good draw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

Sabres x Habs game still scoreless after 2nd period.

Shots 19-15 in favour of the Sabres.

    ---

    FINAL (S/O) Sabres 1 - 2 Canadiens

Rangers win with an OT goal (4-3) with Nash scoring again.

Habs are daycent at the oul shootouts.

Still have that memory of Brian Gionta breaking my heart last year in one.

Now Gionta plays for the Sabres. He wont break your heart anymore. :P

Unlikely. But I'm a Leafs fan so there's still time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

53 seconds and down 1-0. Another Saturday of misery in the ACC beckons.

    Sabres 1 - 6 Penguins after 2nd.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

Sid has 5 points in that game. On course for 150 for the season.mental.

Have Sid and Fluery in my fantasy team. Gutted that Fluery didn't get the SO last night. Disappointing night for the Rangers. Talbot seems to have lost the good form he showed last year.

Another 1-6 loss for the Sabres.

    What a great season...

Jets fan. First time poster. Very good recent run came to an end last night. Plenty of promise for this season though.

Great result for the Rangers. 5-0 against the Pens. Playing the Avalanche tomorrow night on home ice and the Pens again on Saturday. It could be a very good week.

Leafs 5-0 up against Bruins with 10 left in 2nd.

No penalties for by the Leafs either. Madness.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

Didn't watch the game but Leafs allowed 6 goals from 26 shots. Did the Bruins get a lot of odd man rushes?

    That reads weird.

I have no idea. Was only following on NHL app.
I would imagine that they did.

I don't know what reads weird about that.

The Bruins had 26 shots on goal, 6 of them were allowed in by the Leafs goalie. Not very good stats, especially if the Bruins didn't have (a lot of) 3-on-1, 2-on-1 situations.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

That's what read weird. I initially thought you thought that that you thought that the Leafs had lost. SO I re-read it and I allowed it to be read a different way.

But in fact you completely made a hames of it.

The score last night was: Toronto 6-1 Boston.

The LEAFS WON 6-1. Boston allowed 33 shots, Leafs allowed 26.

Oops, I thought it was Bruins 6 - 1 Leafs.

    Sorry about that. :P

    Easy mistake to make.

    7 minutes in and it's Sabres 2 - 2 Wild.

Girgensons with a goal and an assist.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

    Cmon Buffalo!

had to do it, was sick of crappy streams and lags so resubscribed to Game Center, and having it on my iphone and ipad is so handy! 20 bucks a month is worth it for me to see the flyers in beautiful HD! magnifique!

Hawks punished badly for their stupid mistakes by the we're last night. Wings were by far the better team, they need to improve it this circus trip could be bleak.

Leafs goalie on power play skates out of the net to pass the puck, but falls and Sabres get a short-handed goal.

    It's 2-0 after the 1st period.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,046 ✭✭✭Berserker

Rangers 2-1 Pens after the first. Something missing from the Pens, imo. Confident of a Rangers win in this one, after watching that first period.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

    What a game. Sabres 6 - 2 Leafs.

Brian Gionta's first game with Sabres with a goal, and two of them actually.

It was only the 2nd game for the Sharks new goalie, Grosenick. On his first game he made 45 saves in a shutout. Playing against the Sabres he only stopped 9 out of 12 pucks. The last goal was in the empty net.

    Sabres 4 - 1 Sharks

9-2. There is nothing else to say. Shocking.

Shocking indeed. It's been a while since I've seen that many goals in a game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

I haven't even bothered to look back. I have seen the reports. The Leafs FB page was comical last night with a video of a great save... we were 4-0 down at that stage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,925 ✭✭✭GvidoR

Sabres get their 3rd win in a row.

    Sabres 2 - 1 Capitals

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

Great win against the Wings last night. A very coherent performance. Bozak's SH goal was a thing of quality.

Risings sons brewery down the coal quay, a sports bar, are showing NHL.
Two games today, 6 and 9.

Sabres get their 4th win in the last 5 games.

    2-1 against Habs.

They'll meet again tomorrow night in Montreal.

Rangers playing some good hockey at the moment. Shut out the flyers y'day and a good win again today.

Leafs redeeming themselves somewhat. Caps coach didn't help things switching goalies so early though.

Great game in Montreal. 3-3 going into OT. Enroth made some unreal saves for the Sabres

Oilers have lost 10 games in a row.

Sabres have won 5 out of their last 6 games. Going up against the Bolts tonight.

Also Sabres forward Zemgus Girgensons is #1 right now in NHL All Star public votes.

...and Sabres win again. That makes it 6 wins in the last 7 games now. Sabres goalie Jhonas Enroth has 95.3% saves in the last 7 games.

2-1 shootout win against the Lightning, they'll meet again tomorrow night for a rematch.

Anyone interested in taking over one of the fantasy hockey teams?
Need some who will be active to turn around an excellent team.

No mention of the bizzare Pens shootout win, Oilers 11-game losing streak or Sabres turnaround. :P

I know. It's hard to keep up. It's a hard thing to Keep on top at a monthly interval and keep it interesting for the passive fan.

I kinda have to concentrate on teams people may have heard of as much as I would love to wax lyrical about the job Peter Laviolette is doing in Nashville and line changes in Raleigh.

    :)
