Ahhhh lads can we not give it a rest from the tit for tat sniping that goes on in here....can't we have a harmonious weekend? Look 6 wins on the spin, hammering the scousers with Villa to come at the weekend. Cheer up ye shítebags.

Dunno if it was discussed here but did anyone else draw the correlation between the tete a tete Roy Keane appears to have had with TC23 and the fact that TC23 was very much a Fergie project?

Keano v Fergie will run and run and run.

Didn't you make a big speech a month ago about putting me on ignore? If you don't like what I post you should keep it that way for everyone's sake tbh.

Its not like he's missed a shed load of chances of anything....he just hasn't had many.

Exactly, he hasn't had any, as in he hasn't really made an impact. I'm not trying to be critical of the young lad, its just that when you think of top class youngsters introduced to the team, the likes of Rooney, Ronaldo or even Januzaj, they tend to show enough in those appearances to justify their inclusion. I'm not sure Wilson has done that at all, and all those goals on his debut have done is put him up there with Macheda.

I've no problem with his selection, there just seems to be a disconnect between his performances and the hype surrounding him. Hopefully it all clicks for him and we start to see goals.
Haha you could have at least tried to defend the fact you don't watch anything other than what's on sky, **** me.

Thats reaching a bit I think. Keane doesn't need the Fergie connection to think Cleverley is rubbish.

When a poster is usually posting as part of an argument it means it isn't a coincidence though. Can't blame people for their backs getting put up by a lack of respects on the part of others.

Interesting read here from Squawka on the 5 players who've improved under LVG.

Carrick has gone from short, back & sides to over 70% forward passing.Amazing what can be done now we have something resembling a midfield.

Carrick is playing really well but IMO that passing stat is skewed somewhat as he played as CB in most games where the most probable option is to pass the ball forward.

I absolutely love Michael Carrick, how long do people think he has left in him?

Anyone with a decent memory will know I've been a huge Carrick naysayer for quite some time now. But he's impressed me since his return this season so credit where credit's due.

Would this work or is it too attacking

    Degea
    Valencia-Jones-Evans-Shaw
    Carrick

    Mata----Rooney---Di Maria---
    Falcoa
    Rvp

Well if I was picking the team Herrera would be in the team too , only 1 from falcao or Rvp should play

I think Herrera should start over Di Maria. No sense in rushing him back.

The above side is v unbalanced in midfield even if it is Aston Villa. We've no legs in there other than Rooney who'd be up against 3 workhorses

On Radamel Falcao: "He shows fitness in the training sessions, so maybe I shall select him for the bench or maybe I shall select him for the [starting] line-up. Wait and see."

On David De Gea's contract: "No news, otherwise we would give that news. But first on MUTV - it is logical."

On results vs playing well: "For me, the performance is very important. When you perform well, you win more and that’s what I want to show to the fans. The players want to show that. The guarantee of wins is much bigger when we perform better."

On Aston Villa: "They haven’t lost so much. They draw, they win, and when they lose it’s always by a one-goal difference. It shall be very difficult."

On Angel Di Maria: "He has trained this week with us but he’s not match-fit after one week. Maybe I shall select him for the bench, or maybe not. I have to make my decision because we have one training [session] to go."

Van Gaal wants to see more performances like the one against Hull, adding: "When you win six times in a row the confidence is rising, but I’m still looking for a game that is more close to the perfect game than we have given until now."

Louis van Gaal began his press conference by insisting that he didn't think the win over Liverpool "had a big influence" on his team. "The team can improve more but I don't think it was a great surprise that we won," he added.

Well considering Carrick is now playing as a CB he hasn't much option but to pass forward.

Haha it is a good point though.. Does that mean 30% of his passes are almost all to De Gea!

You forgot the other CB & the wingbacks. If Carrick was playing in the same position last season that stat would be very different.
My point is that he has so many more options to pass to compared to last year when he had the world champion at hide & seek playing with him.

Like I said I've been impressed with how he's returned... still don't think when our defence is fit he should be a cornerstone of our midfield, we need the next player to step up

90% of all passes should be to De Gea.

When in doubt, let Big Dave sort it out.

Van Gaal also tells #MUTV of the fantastic atmosphere among his players: "We have a lot of confidence built up." #mufc

This is what makes me happy.
