Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I like how Van Gaal is still aiming for the title.

I believe we have a small chance. but a chance is a chance, better than no chance.

10 points ain't a big gap this time of the season, and we are in amazing form despite injuries, with a transfer window looming and more potential for growth.

But top 4 will still see me happy this year.

It's mental that when falcoa went off the 11 players, playing were available last year.

Same as the last few matches. Great progress.

If there was only one team ahead of utd maybe but it would take chelsea and City both to hit some poor form to let utd back into it.

I said it before, it would take a massive capitulation for us to realistically challange which I don't see happening, consolidate top 4 will be fantastic, a decent run in the FA cup along with that would be super fantastic.

Spurs next up. We go again.

Am I the only one disappointed with 4th? I feel we have third.

Very good performance today. Rooney coming from deep when the defenders are watching RVP and Falcao is huge asset. he played very well in midfield today. Mata is a much different player at home and away. He is nowhere near as effective in away games but shows his worth when we need to break a team down at home. Young had a fine game again today. McNair showed some good signs compared to his horror show at Southampton. The tackle for the penalty was absolutely brain dead by Jones. Would love to see Herrera Fellaini and DI Maria back for Sunday

    A pleasing performance.

    Happy with that.

Falcao was very good and Young played decent enough.

    And Rooney being Rooney.

I still would be happy enough with 4 points from next 2 games. 6 would be very good.

22 points from possible 24 is great return since City.

Champs league was always the target, especially after the rivals expecting we would not have a chance with the champions league for years including certain idiotic managers

IMO we need to be nailing down third place and build for next season

I think most Liverpool supporters knew that wouldn't be the case, this season.

Just looked like Rodgers wanted a rivalry and to have mind games as he was being bigged up as the next great thing but it has back fired spectacularly on him

Article can be twisted either way niallo, depends on how bias you are and vice versa...

Your ignoring the most important bit though...I'll quote if you wish

Give it a good read you know its true ;)

You're quite clearly unable to read if you think that article says what you're claiming.

Someone using a message board who can't read?! Mental!

    Ah sorry.

Just re read it there. It can be twisted both ways. B rod is saying that players won't want to come to utd because they won't have champ football but Liverpool will and this will make getting back into Europe harder.

And now with captain hindsight on board, it makes the comments sweeter, especially in the recent utd games the team utd have put out/finished with was available last season

Would there be any point in doing transfer business in January as we will more then likely get the CL spot this season. I feel myself LVG will wait until next summer.

I can get a small hint if it alright, kinda a small subtext of it. Sounds like he was implying now that Liverpool are in the champions leauge, all the players will go there and utd will take Liverpools place in the leauge.

I think it's a little premature to say this. Still around 20 games left, plenty of time for everything to go pear shaped.

Hold my hands up here and say that this time last year and for a good while before it, I wanted Ashley Young gone from the club. Yes, performances from Valencia, Clev and Evra were frustrating me, but Young was on a whole different level of his own for me. I couldn't grasp how he was a United player, and my heart sank each time I saw his name appear on the team sheet.

Now though, I am delighted that I didn't get my wish less than 12 months ago. He is a completely different player now and one who has become quite important to the team's current unbeaten run. Well done Ashley Young.

    Costellos tonight.

If the Falcao deal goes tits up, I'd be in favour of getting Bolton's new star man, Emile Heskey, in the summer. Bagged a goal on his debut. Real striker's instinct.

Alan Shearer is some gas man... Ivanovic diving was appalling, inexcusable, etc, etc but when Gouffran (I believe?) goes over against us with less contact (none, actually) on his legs, and without anyone getting their arm across like Andy Carroll did, "I think he might actually fall over his own feet, just get his feet caught up there. I can't be 100% and get that right, but that's what it looks like." Funny how he then appeals for a penalty, eh?
