Going to a game in the Aviva soon, looking for a place for Sunday brunch for a gang of us. Anywhere near the stadium or close enough in town/along the canal will be considered.

Looked at Juniors and it looks good, anyone been?

    Thanks,
    Hugo

Juniors is brill! However you need to ring around half an hour before, or just as they open and make a booking otherwise you'll never get a table.

There's actually a few good places around that area - so try Farmer Browns, Press Cafe (in the National Print Museum) or Artisan Parlour if you get stuck.

We'll likely have a big crowd so hopefully will be able to book a table in advance for juniors. Thanks for the other places, I'll check them out

Farmer Browns may be a bit too small for a large group.
Juniors if you can get a table, if not, maybe Herb Street in Grand Canal (around a 15-20 min walk - depending on how full you are leaving).
The Bridge 1859 in Ballsbridge is doing Brunch now too.

Ah didn't know that about Farmer Browns - surely it has to have more chairs than Juniors though!

KC Peaches on Pearse Street at Grand Canal Dock also do a nice brunch and much bigger than either Juniors or Farmer Browns. So depending on what you mean a big crowd is it could work for you.

The Bridge 1859 is amazing for brunch. Owned by a few of the Leinster/Ireland rugby guys.

Depends on what you want really. All the places beside the ground will be jammed. You could try somewhere like Sober Lane Or the Vintage Inn in Irishtown which might be far enough away to still be comfortable. They are only about 5 minutes from the ground. On the other side, the Old Schoolhouse on Mount St generally has room.

Thanks for the replies, some great suggestions.

Waiting on numbers to confirm, could be around 12-14 though.

It'll be before the FAI cup final so probably not as busy as before other games, still have the local crowd however.

Hmm if it's that many people High Nellys on Haddington Road might suit too (They do the weekend brunch menu on top of their sandwiches) http://www.highnellyscoffeehouse.com/

Second the Old Schoolhouse, really nice atmosphere. If you book in advance they will set aside a suitable area for you.
