Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey,

I am a bit of a geek with photo/audio equipments and electronics in general and regularly buy and sell stuff online.

I have had a number of occurrence where registered packets sent abroad (mostly Europe and US) got lost in transit and while agreeing they had no clue where the packet was An Post dragged their feet to process my complains and got away with paying me little or no money at all to compensate my loss as I got tired of following-up with them and getting no answer (or their specialty: either directing me to another department who will in turn do the same thing again, or to the foreign postal service which will then tell you that in such cases the process is for the sender to raise the issue with the original postal service who can then make and inquiry request to its partners in other countries).

Anyway ... rant over and I am looking for a better service to ship small and light enough items valued 200 euros or more (with insurance cover in case of loss).

I was looking at DHL but it looks like their cheapest option is around 80 euros to send an insured small 1kg parcel to another European country ... a bit too expensive given the value of must of the items I would be shipping.

Would anyone have a better option to suggest? Ideally less than 50 euros to send small packets to Europe with the content insured for 200 to 500 euros.

    Thanks a lot!
