    Does anyone know if there was a crash of some sort in Maynooth today? I've heard sirens going off all morning!

    Maynooth Gardai Hunt Armed Raiders.

    Gardai in Maynooth are hunting three men involved in an armed raid in the town.
    The three, all of whom were wearing balaclavas, entered Spar in Maynooth Shopping Centre at 10.55pm on Monday evening.
    One of them threatened staff with what appears to have been a firearm
    They made off with a sum of cash
    Gda Daniel Murphy is appealing to anyone with information to contact Maynooth Garda Station on 01 629-1444

    Celbridge Gardai Appeal For Armed Raid Witnesses.

    An appeal for witnesses to armed raid on Celbridge Post Office has been launched

    It happened at around 9:50am when a man entered the post office and threatened staff with what is believed to be a firearm.

    He fled the scene with a sum of money in a silver car which was found abandoned a short time later on Old Town Road, Celbridge.

    No arrests have been made

    Garda Daniel Murphy is asking anyone with information to come forward

    I would imagine so, two robberies of the same kind in close towns?
