water meter installation-not every house in estate has been supplied with one

Maybe this isnt the correct place for this but installers have been and gone here this week and only seemed to do every second house in the estate. Anyone know why this is? I assumed that they were going to do every second house so people could have access to their houses and then when those houses were done they would do…

Ive just come home and they are all gone. Barriers and all things relating have been taken away.

Any ideas?

In some locations, each pair of houses only has one water pipe from the road, so until the neighbours get their own pipes, there is not much use in fitting two meters.
