Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

At Xmas dinner, my grandfather would often boast about his previous engagements.

We'd tell him "Oh shut up grandad, nobody cares how many Jews you killed".

Is your grandad a former German officer ?

People need to do it to get facebook likes.

It's something along those lines for certain people. Seeking validation and showing how great their life is and all that.

Seeing a wave of engagements and marriages now in my mid - late 20s. I'd say it's a mixture of being together long enough that they want to take their relationship to the next level, marriage, babies etc... To just liking the idea of being engaged/married.

Know a girl who just got engaged to a lad she met three months ago, he's anerican & she's trying to forge a life in the states so largely visa reasons I'm sues, but does make me wonder.

I've an older cousin who tells me this is the "first wave"... Fast forward ten years & it's the divorces then 'second marriages'. Wouldn't surprise me, already know 2 couples going through divorces after less than 2 years of marriage

The other question is really; are women worse for saying yes multiple times or are fellas worse for proposing multiple times?

Also, Is there really a way of saying no to a proposal without casting a hape of doubt of your relationship. Does saying no signal the end of the relationship.
