Abbeydale / Foxborough estates in Lucan

Does anybody here live in the Abbeydale or Foxborough estates in Lucan, or the areas around there? A safe enough area to live? The last time I lived in Dublin it was in Fairview, across the road from that pub where a guy got shot in the back of the head that one time.
