Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

At least Scotland are winning, I guess. Poland being ahead would have been a disaster. *Touch wood*

Really is time to get Long on now.

    Stupidity that.

Was dying for a slash and said to the missus, whenever I go to the toilet, the other team always score.

Just went to the jax. Sorry.

I guess the first 70 mins here and Scotland being 2-1 in Poland means Poland aren't world beaters no more than Germany

Was there ever a time when Trap went as far as having no strikers on the pitch?

    Walters is a Centre Forward

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

I suppose MON should have reverted to that attacking, expansive style he was so well known for at Leicester, Celtic and Villa.

What was Quinn doing? Went to close him down, then stopped and just turned his arse to him.

I'd rather lose this 3-0 and push for an equaliser. Put on Long.

Bring on Long or Wes now...attack them

    Walters is a Centre Forward

    That's debatable in fairness.

One of the few times McGeady actually tries to link up to other players and nobody is able to read it.

I've no problem with the way we played. We were trying to do something that is incredibly difficult to do and that is take a point in Germany against the World Champions.

How the game goes from now is important though, we have to go for it. No use sitting back and taking a 1-0 loss, I'd rather lose 3/4-0 than 1-0 and not have a go at them.

But then O'neill couldn't passive-aggressively claim it as a moral victory

Go on and lose. All of these players are familiar with losing regularly with their clubs so normal service has resumed for them.

Great shot but criminal from Quinn letting him stroll in to 25 yards out after collecting it 40 yards from goal :(

I'm not having that..hold on a second, they only have 3 of the players playing tonight....there's no way in hell they would have won the world cup with that team... that should have given the Irish team some heart to actually go and play the game and not the reputation...
