Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I know ye won't care and neither would I in your position but really this was awful. We didn't deserve to win because of our inexplicable negativity in the very end but ye didn't really deserve the point either ye were so poor overall. Still fair play good luck hope it'll do ye some good for the campaign.

Hamilton and Whelan blasting the Irish performance for 93 minutes. One minute laster the final whistle goes "a night we'll never forget".

Hendrick looked good when he came on. Looked to keep moving with the ball rather than just getting rid of it.

We should give a goal away in the first 5 mins of the next match and we might go on to score 5 :pac:

Boot it into our own net and go from there :P

I thought we deserved the point. We were poor at times but much better second half. They are world champions and mustered 3 or 4 good chances but that's it.

    A far cry from 6-1.

Was brutal since he came on. However, it must be hard to come into a game like that

But its what he CAN bring to the team that's so important.

He almost scored aswell for feck sake! :D

Gibson the driving force when he came on, always looking to go forward and create things from deep.

He has a great knack of getting the ball, shielding it, spinning around and moving forward.

As opposed to back pass Whelan .

    I'm delighted with the result.

Hoolahan ****ed up that cross. The person to be praising is Hendirck for doing incredibly well to get to the cross and put it back across the goal

Is Dumphy saying Hoolahan cross was good? It was a shocker! Was all about the pull back and goal.

Walters and Gibson made a difference

Like I said, utterly mystified why he didn't start.

Dunphy is genuinely pissed off he can't use the negativity bandwagon to sell papers, and Giles completely contradicting everything he said at the start of the game (when, in all his knowledge of the modern game, he said we had put out an attacking lineup). :pac:

    giles is wrong
it is a question of the opposition
we play attacking football against germany, we get our arses handed to us..

I like the look of Hendrick, meself. Looks tidy and did exceptionally well to control that cross in the build up to the goal.

Ye were terrible. For most of the game your players were too scared to get on the ball and were nearly falling over themselves. Only when you were down you started to play football. We handed it to ye. We were poor too. I suppose in that way a draw is a just result.

Sorry, but what happened to the guy giving out about our "4-6-0" formation? Hoolahan isn't a striker either, so I believe that formation just tied us the game. :pac:

Gibson, Hendrick and Hoolahan need to be in our midfield. Obviously McCarthy when he's fit.

I think you're being very harsh. We were away from home against the World Champions. Now I think we should have retained possession far better and maybe gave them far too much space. Other than that your point doesn't really make sense.

Well they are all big men driving Ferraris and whatnot, sure you could expect them to look like footballers at least. Look don't get me wrong don't want to piss on your parade, fair play like I said, but really you deserved the draw as much as we deserved to win. Like not at all. But thats football.
