Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Getting past him with the ball once in 37 minutes is not "the beating of". :pac:

But he has been beaten 100% of the time :pac:

McClean has been free a few times down the wing.

I'm a McGeady fan but get him off now

The one player who might do something out of the blue? I'd hold fire on that.

I'll bet the gearbox in Glenn Whelans car has first gear and 5 reverses.

God forbid Keane could have harried the defenders there a little!

Yeah, noticed that. The ball carrier was no more than a few yards away and he strolled back up to the forwards.

If we get a point from this it will make Russia look like Sunday League defending

    No, just no.
Stop blaming McGeady for any of this. The easy target as usual.

Trapattoni killed any self belief these players may have had. To sit back and not even try is their default setting.

Is tackling by the irish team verboten?

I think the lack of actual talent in the team had more than a small role to play, in honesty.

This could be like The Trilla in Manila where we soak up everything and then hit them late.

If it was tiring having the ball, that might be an option, unfortunately I believe the opposite is true.

You feel that Germany are still in second gear here and can step this up if needed.

We're in 2nd and could go up one too only the clutch is fcuked.

lack of a true striker hurting Germany, schrule their closest thing to a striker and he's injured.

I said already I'm a McGeady fan but he's not suited to the way we are playing.

And the way we are playing is give them the ball and defend.

He can't defend. So unless we have a go at them he's redundant

Wilson really, REALLY needs to slide for that. Even if it's a lost cause, in a game like this you cannot let a ball in the box go by you without at least flinging yourself at it.

We are playing the world champions in their own backyard.

Play an open game and we'd be beaten by 5 or 6

I honestly think I'm watching a different game than the commentators and most of the people in here. You'd swear Germany have us bet into the goals.

We'd better take Whelan off with that yellow

I remember when Roy Keane got a yellow card against Holland in 2001, within seconds.
And people called him a hero for trying to break Overmars up.

Whelan tries to break up the germans most influential player.
Gets called braindead, and everyone wants him off.
