Sorry I don't believe that one bit. The moon has been dead for billions of years. A few million years is nothing in comparison and I really really can not believe it was active so recently when it has a cold dead core today.

Dead for billions of years? How do they know for sure?

Because it needs to cool down a molten core from when the moon split off from the Earth. The core of the moon has been dead for at least that long. The moon is about 4.5 billion years old, it's core doesn't have the mass to remain molten for that long. No molten core, no free lava, hence no volcanoes.

Lava on the moon can only be produced by the heat of an impact.
