Dublin or Donegal

I've got a choice to go to Dublin or Donegal.

Dublin is shorter, either 2 and a bit hours on a train or 2 and a half hours on a bus. But I hate Dublin after July. They cancelled my concerts.

But Donegal is 5 hours on a bus. But Donegal never cancelled my concerts. I've never been there.

Think I'd rather suffer 5 hours on a bus than suffer time in Dublin.

    So Dublin or Donegal?

    Daddy or Chips?

    Failing that Wicklow.
    ......
    Failing that Dublin.

Donegal has no train line in it.

    For real?

Whoah, just researched it and there is not
But they do have the Donegal Railway Center, at least you will have something to visit OP if you decide for Donegal.

    Has to be Donegal!!!

Craic is far better than Donegal, easier on the pocket with accommodation and spending money, accents of the locals music to your ears, locals are very friendly. Commiserate them on losing the all-Ireland final. Scenery is great. Lots to see and do.

You could get the train to Sligo and bus up from there (Feda O'Donnells the local Donegal bus co)

(I'm married to a Donegal man so I might be a little biased!)

Theres loads to do in Dublin... but Donegal is majestic as fook.

Id pick Donegal for the accent alone , swoon!

No, we keep them secret from outsiders. For the craic.

    Chooo Choo!!!

Where in Donegal OP, it's a big county, takes about five hours to drive right around it.

Closest trains are Derry and Sligo I believe.

I detect a hint of bitterness :pac:

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Good to see the salt of the earth hospitality Dubliners are renowned for (so they say) alive and kicking in this thread.

Kerry, it's got the Healy Rae's.

Also Mayo has the Kenny's and Flynns.

    But you can't beat Bertie.

    I'm afraid you'll have to.

Johnny Cash is dead, you need to accept it and move on.
