PS3 Power Cable?

So the power cable on my PS3 is fooked (I really hope it's the cable and not the socket on the console)! Is there anywhere I can get a replacement cheap and easy? I've been into GameStop and they said the chord for a regular electric kettle ought to do the trick but most of them are connected directly to the dock, is there a DIY way of refixing it to the PS3 connecter?

I've considered approcahing those trying to sell old PS3 but I don't think they'd sell just the power cable as it who would want to buy a PS3 without that pretty important element.

Depends if its the fat PS3 or the skinny one.

As mentioned above a normal €2 kettle lead is for the fat PS3.

For the skinny PS3, It's a 2 prong UK power cable.

That is exactly what I'm looking for. I actually went to an electrical store yesterday, the guy I was talking to was useless.
