Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Balotelli was abysmal.

but him being in the 6 yard box forced those two own goals at least.

He wouldn't have been there 2 weeks ago.

That break away from the free kick should never happen at any level of football. The Free kick was atrocious to start with.

    Thoroughly exciting game though.

It's hardly a coincide that we didn't concede any goals once Toure came on.

    Crazy game of football.

Serious serious questions need to be asked of our defense coach and if its on rectified it needs to be asked of BR

We don't have a defensive coach.

I'd say he's got a dangerous horn on him looking at that back line :pac:

Injury time is where it's at :pac:
So naive from QPR, piling men forward like that, should have settled for the draw.

    They stopped people going forward

    What the f*ck???

A well known quote from Balotelli

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,399 ✭✭✭✭ThunbergsAreGo

Coutinhio made a difference after coming on

Unreal ball for Sterling, very worried with Balotelli, it's Richard Dunne he's against, a run in behind would be nice

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,566 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Never want to see Balotelli in a Liverpool jersey again, disinterested, giving the ball away, no workrate. Disgusted with him

Tbh, I'm not a Liverpool fan, but im inclined to agree. There is no place for him at Liverpool. Drags the whole team down

They didn't though. Dunne would not let caulker go forward at the end.

Not enough obviously, they were completely caught out on the break.

Hopefully Cou kicks on now from this. Still not sure the best position for him in any of Rodgers ****ed up formations and line-ups though, they change so frequently.

I've a feeling Liverpool are gonna need 3 or 4 goals to get the three points here.

    You expected anything less?

    Ridiculous signing.

three points whilst still being given a huge kick up the arse and wake-up call. Not a bad day all considered.

    Bring on Real!!

    meow!

Coutinho made huge difference since he came on, actually took players on...

These brutal performances cannot keep happening... Liverpool were shocking... didnt deserve to win....should have bought better in the summer...I came around to the Balotelli signing, but he is so wasteful and overrated it is unreal...

That's the worst I've seen Liverpool play in a long time. There's no sign of improvement yet.

    YOKES FOR SALE!!!

Get 'em while they're hot! Great reviews!

"Best thing since eat a yoke!"

"I took one at the half time of QPR Vs LFC, and by the end I couldn't tell which players were playing for which team!"

Very poor standard in defending from both sides in that game. Comical how bad it was at times.

I didn't say there was any improvement. And tbh, i'm not actually confident that any real lessons will be learned from this. We've been defending abysmally since Brendan arrived at the club but he's seemingly done nearly nothing to improve us in that aspect other than buy overpriced, overrated CB's. And he's still keeping the faith in clowns like Johnson and Enrique.

That's before even mentioning our defending as a unit/team. No organisation, no pressing. Rodgers needs to swallow some pride and get a defensive coach in as a matter of priority.

You mustn't have watched them much this season then. Possibly slightly worse this game but not much in it from most performances this season.

I've seen most of their games, that first half was on a different level of crap than anything else.

I don't have a tv but I enjoyed flicking back and over between the BBC text and relying on this thread to provide the colour. Well played lads, :D

That was diabolical. Sure they won.but fcuk me what a disgraceful first half and not much better secound half

<mod snip - no PL vines or gifs>

I'm not sure that could be described as a tackle.

I expected Liverpool to win today but the performance and the way they did it was laughable.Only QPR could miss gilt edged chances and concede 2 OG's and a deflected goal to lose a game.

In fairness, you don't even have to stand in the box, just a few yards outside it and look disinterested then go home and set off some fireworks in your bathroom.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,791 ✭✭✭✭Charlie19

Its as clear as day that he's clearly trying to clear it, just a poor attempt of a clearance.

First off I'm delighted we poxed 3 points.

Secondly I'm glad I refrained from commenting on this thread except for 1 at half time. Otherwise I'd be in boards.ie purgatory forever with no chance of parole.

    We are shocking.

Similar arguments were made vs spurs.

It involves us giving him credit for being on the field, or assuming another forward wouldn't have "been there" when realistically ballotelli is in the box less than most forwards.

I'm not giving him that credit. He was a disgrace. He doesn't care about the team or his teammates and has to be gotten rid of as soon as possible.

    Send them Mario?

Seriously though I wonder could we offer a few players to take his place?

Knew liverpool would get the 3 points but didn't think they would look as bad doing so

When Rodgers had his meltdown last year after the Chelsea game he said anyone can set up a team to defend like them, yet he has one of the worst defences in the league after spending massive money

In the interest of balance I do need to point out that United have a VERY similar goals conceded per game ratio despite having only played 2 teams from the current top 12 in the table, and only 2 teams from last season's top 12 (only 1 from last season's top 10).
