Put a bit on Bold Thady Quill 25/1 EW in the next at Ascot. Fantastic old horse, and always shines in a big field.

    Lottery of a race.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,775 ✭✭✭✭Slattsy

Purposely went for highly drawn horses after previous results, and low wins!
How was thhat allowed go off 20/1 anyway?

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,185 ✭✭✭tinodz

Bold Thady Quill was no where. Still like that horse though.

27 runner field hence the price. You can fancy half the field in those handicaps and still not find a placed horse.

And the mighty hammers go marching on :)

    13/8..what a juicy price!

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,681 ✭✭✭BumperD

You'll have to have a beer to celebrate the hammers win.

    How About It @ 4/1
    Paolozzi (To Place) @ 11/2

...are my only other shots of the day. One has B Gerrathey aboard, and the other is the most experienced horse in the lineup

    Both in the Cheltenham 5.30

Heavy ground might produce a few shocks at ascot and it is bit early in the season for getting stuck in at chel with many form choices out for the first time and fitness has to be taken on trust.
I am backing Estimate ew in the 1 45 and Noble Mission ew in the 4 05 Ascot,2 ew singles and an ew double.
Both go on the ground and may be capable of causing a minor upset.

Estimate finishes tailed off,Noble Mission comes good at 7s,decent profit on the day.Cecil (Henry) was lucky to have Frankel and Noble Mission in his care at the same, very few hard luck stories when you go off in front and put your head down and battle.
