    Hello all
    Need some advice
HKC system with shick sensor on all windows
System worked fine for last 6 years but lately everynow and again it sets off with the msg gross or pulse or DBL

I have replaced the sensors one by one in the problem zone , fine for a few days and then it activates
It seems to behave better in night set rather than full set , although it has gone off once or twice in night set
    Pulse set to 4

    Any ideas or help welcome

The best method is to check the resistance on the entire loop.
If you have a multi-meter proceed as follows.:

Disconnect the zone from the panel & remove any end of line resistors,
Set you meter to continuity and connect the pair to the 2 meter leads.
on a lenght of cable long enough to reach all your windows on zone 3.
Make a note of the reading in ohms. One by one tap evey sensor & open and close every contact. After a tap or an open close the resistence should return to the around the same value. If it does not disconnect that device , close of the pair wired into it & move on. Replace any that you had to close off.

Are you sure that nothing is touching against the windows such as branch of a tree or bush in the wind? blinds blowing in a draft?

No nothing near the windows all clear no draughts

checking the resistence with a meter is the best way to find the cause here.

    Thanks cool kid
Can you break down the procedure a bit more simplified for me

There may not be EOL resistors involved.
If you have a multi meter set it to resistance , disconnect the pair from that zone & connect one wire to each of the 2 meter leads.
Come back and post what the reading is & I'll instruct you from there.
