Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The defending at the weekend against QPR should have been the warning signs for this to come.

And to think Balotelli was getting all the stick after it.

Well they finished ahead of arsenal, utd, Everton, spurs and Chelsea last year. Only Chelsea are ahead of them this year.

being in 5th means four teams are ahead of you: Chelsea who are 9 points ahead (!) city, southampton and west ham, don't see what your point is

You say that as if all of our games (with about 2 possible exceptions) haven't been awful displays.

Well only 45 mins left. Thank god. Need to get someone into midfield that can tackle.

    You are deluded

You don't think liverpool are unlucky to be 3-0 down.

Pretty much everything is fair game to be made fun of for a lot of people. The key is understanding it's a joke.

    Your mother has the downs.

Oh wait, ha ha ha, it's a jokey joke!

EDIT: actually that's an awful joke. I'll leave it up as I'm against ninja edits but I apologize, that's not funny.

Mario off already...thought he was ok in the first half. Tired hard to be fair

    Balotelli substituted.

Balotelli off. Guess he knew when he gave his shirt away.

Lambert surely could have been worth a sjot?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Balotelli really does not give a shíte.

The punt on him is looking more silly by the day.

Could say the same about Man City in fairness, even less points in the CL than Liverpool with more money spent and finished higher last season. The league champions of England performing so poorly is a worse reflection on the league IMO

Still doesn't change the fact how poor Liverpool are all over the park against the class of Real. That second goal was a joke.

jebus Balo taken off. That wont go down well with him lol

Brace yourselves for a stunning second half display by Liverpool. Countihno to score and assist with Balotelli and Henderson getting the rest for the win.
Kroos sent off by 70 min for second yellow.

    Great price for 4-3

It's too early to say last year was a blip when they are in a better position than 5 of the teams that filled the top 7 positions.

Oh yeah, back to 11 v 11, thankfully.

Balotelli swapping his jersey with Pepe didn't impress Souness.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,136 ✭✭✭✭Rayne Wooney

You wonder how 36 million pounds was spent on that Serb and Balotelli, could have bought a game winner

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

In reality, this is the team that should've started.

Not sure about that now considering the group that City have. They gave a good account of themselves against a very good Bayern side unlike Liverpool tonight

Ballotelli is not the player to take off. BR needs to spent less time reading the "pundits" and more time sorting out the defense.

I don't think Mario did too badly. Defense and keeper at fault for the first half display.

    What a terrible performance.

they would have to settle for the world class players no one wanted though :(

3-0 down at HT, defence all at sea. Takes off a striker.

    Brendan Rodgers, tactical genius.

Well no, I wasn't trying to say it changed that  Was addressing the comment of the league being represented.

The Liverpool defence is utterly terrified by the Real attack, and with good reason I guess.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,414 ✭✭✭Lord Trollington

I say QPR and Sunday as they are bottom of the League. A barometer if you will.

Agreed. Perhaps BR was not impressed with the jersey swap. Didn't see it myself.

Jesus, I can see the future. Take off your striker and pin your hopes on the pacey 19 yr old.

This suits Real grand. Can easily get 2-3 more on the counter.

Is it that surprising though? This was coming all season.

They were terrified by Zamora at the weekend.

Rodgers is a bit of a coward, won't take any blame or criticism for the defence.
