Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Mario needs to learn to pass.

A ball to Sterling and it was a goal chance.

Gary Neville commentating. Nice bit of impartiality as always from Sky.

Only Sky can have people complaining both of being biased for AND against Liverpool :P

Honestly don't think it would even register, let alone draw such a reaction, if someone who played for Liverpool 5 years ago came to OT.

Never a foul. It's a side to side challenge. Sterling dived.

Positive and confident start by Liverpool.

Think Suarez wouldn't be booed at Old Trafford if United were to play Barcelona at some point?

    Probably will never happen though.

Not a foul or a dive imo.

Just not strong enough and unaware of the incoming challenge

I look forward to Luis Suarez going back to OT with Barcelona if Utd qualify for Europe again.

Without wanting to engage in another Suarez discussion, I'd imagine if Suarez was booed, it wouldn't be because he was a Liverpool player, but because of his other "escapades" against United.

Or did Ronaldo have a massive mudslinging match revolving round racism that I didn't know about....

EDIT: Also nice everyone has missed me saying about a player who left Liverpool 5 years ago...

Suarez didn't have to play for Liverpool to give anyone any reason not to boo him

This game has started frantically. Lots of pace

Who's being classy now? Good modding.

Can't believe anyone would wonder why Ronaldo gets booed. No I wouldn't do it myself, but I can see why its done.

Very fast start, expect Real to take control as the half goes on. They have played some great stuff during this early Liverpool onslaught

Well, to be fair, they cover English football. A European Night at Anfield is actually pretty special compared to your average league game.

The implication of "A magical european night" is that it's much better than a domestic atmosphere. Which it is.

I agree completely with your assessment but......magical?

Yes, that's exactly what we're saying

If United fans started booing Mascherano, Alonso or other top level former Pool players, I'd say they are idiots too.

Sterling wins over the very short distances, Ronaldo catches him soon enough

To the Pool fans arguing - watch the game, it's an important one
