Dundalk to win this I think. And the fit the occasion it'll probably be something like Stephen O' Donnell grabbing an injury time winner.

Really hope Cork do it though as it would be hilarious to see Dundalk bottle this.

Should I bother watching this? Will be full of parochial guff and in jokes I don't understand?

Is the pitch real grass or "plastic", Barry Glendenning said the latter on Football Weekly. Hard to tell at the moment.

yay Flares! Or are they lying down smoke to sneak in behind Cork? :D

Of course you should watch it.

Have to feel for a player getting injured 8 minutes into a game this big. Shields was in tears there.

He was a bit harsh, he pointedly omitted the ref.

RTE really should have Brian Kerr on the panel for Champions League and Ireland games.

Dundalk not doing enough so far.
    Cork cruising at the moment.
    More pressure needed.

    Feast and famine.

Nothing for 32 minutes and then two chances in 30 seconds.

close again from Dundalk, defender got a block in and dampened the shot.... panic stations then again in the cork box, blazed over from O'Donnell :( Dundalk need a goal before half time I think...

Awful to watch. Hoof, hoof, hoof. The only time a chance is created is when a mistake is made.

I'm not surprised nobody cares about Irish domestic soccer.

Dundalk nervy in front of goal shooting instead of giving an easy pass... mazey run by massey.. Dundalk crowd roaring..

It is hoofball but this is a big game...nobody wants to make the mistake. Plus, I'd challenge anybody to play a possession game on this pitch.

Yeah, the pitch is horrendous. How are they allowed host a game with the state of the pitch? Dreadful.

in fairness Dundalk are trying to play only hoofing when there is danger in the defence.... Dundalk getting som joy now... Towell shoots over..need to place some of these chances

Cork winning all the aerial battles. Bigger and more physical team.

Dundalk are the better team. They need to try and relax on the ball and stop rushing everything. Chances will come.

Dundalk getting some passes together.. nice combinations, crosses getting blocked down

Dundalk fans will give it story of "It's UEFA approved" and they've done their tests. I've played on it twice and it's one of the worst astro surfaces I've played on.

Yeah that's right, judge the LOI on one game.

The players detest playing on it. The likes of Colin Healy and Keith Fahey don't play on it in case of injury (Healy is playing tonight I know, but only because it's a huge game and also the last of the season).

Think it's decent enough football, both teams nervy. Dundalk playing the better football, but Cork looking more likely to score.

Come on you red green men!

On one half, not one game. And it's essentially a cup final, nobody wants to give an inch. There's a goal coming..

Exciting enough game but lacking any real quality on that 'pitch'. Cork looking relatively comfortable bar O'Donnells chance, O'Sullivan should have buried O'Flynns cross too.

fahey played on it earlier in the season if i recall..

pitch is not that bad, played on it loads of times.. ball bounces a bit higher than normal and the ball runs quicker..only difference i can tell.. knee can get burned if hasn't been watered down but so can dry summer pitch...

Just got back in time to watch the second half. I don´t really follow LOI so have no no clue who I should cheer for. Cork play in green and red like Mayo but then again they´re from Cork.

No, he didn't play the game in Oriel. I've seen a few of the Pat's players on Twitter before complaining about the pitch. They absolutely hate playing on it.

Just enjoy the game for tonight, hopefully you may enjoy it and be in a position to attend one if there is a team near you!
