Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'd say Pighead is in Oriel right now writing down his prose of celebration to post up here this match. This could be epic. :pac:

Dundalk deserve this in all fairness. They've been the best team throughout the season and played some lovely football at times.

Best team usually wins the league, don't think there's any doubt Dundalk have been the best this season.

Congrats to SK and Dundalk, best team won on the night, and probably the best team over the season.

I was disappointed with Cork tonight, too much hoofball but I seen them live a few times and they never impressed with ability, I wondered how they got so close to the title.

I agree with you on Cork. They would have made very weird champions.

Fantastic season from a fantastic team. Delighted they got to win it in front of their home fans. Daryl Horgan ran his nuts off out there and was my man of the match. Hope this entices a lot of those supporters back next year. Proud to be a fan of this League tonight.

What's the story with that pitch eh? Its the east coast of Ireland at sea level, shouldn't be allowed. Inverness CT in Scotland are thinking about putting on down, Kilmarnock have one now and are dominant at home this season, TNS have one in Wales and are flying. Seems like an unfair advantage.

Dundalk had a tight budget, the astro was probably more cost effective at the time.

Probably can stump now for real grass and some more seating.

Well done Dundalk, best team won the league.

Still very proud of Cork and thank all involved for making the season a very memorable one.

We overachieved though. If we are to be in with shot next year we need 3-4 top players.

    But that's for another day.

    Enjoy it Dundalk fans.

Not often a team here invests in their infrastructure when times are good.

Last time Dundalk were in the Europa League Qualifiers they threw in more seating

Awful, ****ty cramped seats, but still. Seats.

    Dundalk totally deserved that.

Disappointed in Cork, far too negative in their approach to the game.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,071 ✭✭✭user2011

Just to echo what has been posted, Cork way to negative to make things anyway interesting from a neutral POV, the best team for me over the season has come out on top. Happy days I just happen to be from the town.

    C'mon the town 2014 Champions :D

Also shout out to O'Donnell it feels like it was written in the stars for him to step up after the injury he had come back with a few games left and to pull the town over the line. Awesome night of feelings I'll not be forgetting.

Congrats Dundalk, was hoping your attractive, positive football would win out against Cork. Deserved winners of the 2014 LOI Premier Division title.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

And a separate congratulations for Pighead, for finally being right.
