Can't remember the last time meter was read.
Have had at least 4 estimated bills.
Estimated bills are always way out.
My average bill €200, estimated bill €86.95.
Just contacted Electric Ireland to get bill amended.
Person gave me 1850 327 757 to get meter read, this number appeared to be disconnected.

    Hi anonanymore,

That telephone number is likely to be for ESB Networks, which is just slightly different: 1850 372 757.

ESB Networks sends out meter-readers, who read the meters for customers of all electricity suppliers. ESB Networks aims to have each meter read for four out of six bills per year, the remaining two bills being estimated - this is subject to accessibility of the meter. Are there any issues with accessibility of your meter?

When a customer is in receipt of two or more consecutive estimated bills, we recommend that they take a meter-reading and send it in to us (for an accurate bill to be generated) - it can be done via private message here on Boards.ie. The customer meter-reading facility is available because sometimes customers require interim bills (e.g. when a housemate moves out). If you wish to send us a meter-reading here on Boards, just also please confirm in the private message your Electric Ireland account number, that you are the account-holder, your name, address in full, and telephone number. If you need a key for your meter-box, we can post a generic meter-key to you (free of charge).

Otherwise, if you wish to escalate that your meter has not been read for numerous consecutive bills, it is ESB Networks who would be the people to contact.
As well as their telephone number above, they can also be contacted via Twitter.

    Kind regards,
    Una
