Hands up if you want to see DC in action?

    Or is just me...?

He'd probably just get injured, but still.

But if you say he was out when he took the ball, then by throwing it immediately maybe he was still out??

Hard to say since there was no replays. I *think* he took it out. He certainly passed it with one foot in touch and foot on the pitch.

Just say the reply and he definitely had a foot on the pitch when he took the line out.
    ...

Not that it makes any difference

DC could destroy this USA team...

This is a very entertaining game. Commentary is gas, I love it. Like, they commentators are doing well I think but the yankee phrases they're coming out with is hilarious.

Yeah, he had one foot in, one foot out, and took the rolling ball (which we agree was out by America) and then threw it in. I have no idea whether he needed to bring both feet behind the line before throwing it, but I suspect Tox56 is right. We need Losty Dublin!

    Joubert "sweet, thanks bro"

    So disappointing. .....

Commentators would be happy enough to see a 80 minute scrum . Loving them

Nice line out move. Repeat of Tony Woodcock's WC 2011 Final try

It's called the "teapot" move apparently. Not sure why, but that's try number 3 from that move including 2011.

Can't wait for next Saturdays matches. England will run NZ close.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Kiwi_knock

Another easy try. These commentators could not be any more optimistic.

    NZ just aren't backing down

Wtf is up with Cruden's kicking

In New Zealand they don't let you wear boots until your teens apparently.

    It's the hobbit feet probably.

Yes they will. This match is meaningless. England have a pack to unsettle NZ. Should be a cracker. England have midfield issues though, which they didn't resolve in June.

We might have never beaten the All Blacks but the US have never scored a try against them in four matches!

Can't remember what year, but a few years ago in the JWC in SA, SA absolutely demolished the NZ scrum . Pretty sure it was the final, bent them in 2. It was incredible

    Yep, only 5 converted.

Harris, Jane, Tuipulotu, B Williams (2), Piutau, Savea, Moody, Cruden, Dagg

I've lost count of the number of phrases taken from baseball, basketball, and gridiron. I expect he'll refer to the ABs defence as a full court press at some stage.

They mentioned they want a pro league in the next year or two... Anyone think that's achievable?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,972 ✭✭✭captbarnacles

It would be fun to see some of the NFL's offensive linesmen in a scrum. They'd probably need oxygen right after but they'd do some serious damage.

Apparently the NFL are interested in backing it

I remember seeing a clip recently of a college team using the rugby tackle as their standard to great effect.... "drive for five" all over the place ;)

Jesus, you serious? That would be a huge help

Fair play to the US. They stood up to the tackles well there for a while.

    EDIT: And then they concede!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

What a pass at the end.

    Great try.
