Is it my imagination?

Hello shaving fans
I used to shave using a Mach 3 razor but then saw the light and now employ a DE saftey razor and get the best shave of my life.However,and this is where I'm wondering if I'm imagining things,even tho' I get a really close smooth shave with the DE it doesn't seem as long before I need to shave again as it did with the Mach 3.Anyone know the answer? Or is it my imagination?:rolleyes:

It's not your imagination. The DE does a brilliant job of slicing your whiskers perfectly at the skin's surface. The mach 3 blades tugs the whisker slightly up, hacks at it, and the whisker is left slightly lower than the skin surface. On one hand it seems like you have less of a 5 o'clock shadow but on the other hand there's a much higher chance of ingrown hairs.

Truly amazing...thanks for that..and there was me thinking I was going mad. Mind you,give me a good excuse to get the ol' DE out more often
