Next Presenter of Late Late Show?

Upon the expiry of Tubridy's time on the show, who would you prefer in the poll to take over? :P

I'd say Linda Martin would be my choice, given after about 3 weeks the show would collapse and end indefinitely. Also, they've never chosen a female presenter yet so there's no reason for Martin not to be selected.

They should have ended the late late when Gaybo left. Pat Kenny who I like at political stuff wasn't suited to it, and that string of pi$$ made a mockery of it with the band and audience participation games.:confused:

End it. Let it die with an ounce of dignity.

Any chance they could just disband the show and drop the licence fee.

Even if they started to disband the band it'd improve ratings by 50%.

Dáithí Ó Sé. No better man to present 2 hours of utter shíte to a crowd of gormless clowns.

Judging by the usual standard of line up - nobody is getting kicked.

    Grainne Seoige, without question.

I know she is not the most likeable of people at times but I think that gives her an edge that the show often needs. Her interviewing technique overall is in a different league to the current clown. She can be lighthearted when it's appropriate and have a laugh but also when it's needed, she can also probe and grill a guest that deserves and needs to be, unlike Tubridy. She has been wasted on the crap she has done so far. I know many would disagree but I thought she did fine at Sky, the morning slot is tough as it requires a sort of faux upbeat tone which I don't think suited her.

I have to say that the OP has done exceptionally well to come up with a poll of 7 names where Linda Martin is by far and away the best option on it.

It should go to an unknown person, someone on the up. That's how Gay got it. It's the only way to build a legend. All legends start at zero, you're at nothing appointing a star.
It needs a young fresh talented intelligent person.

Dylan Moran channeling his Bernard Black character. I'd pay good money to see him swig wine and lambast the guests!

I have watched The Late Late Show three times in the last ten years. But if the likes of Sean Moncrieff took over, I'd probably start watching it again.

How about taking a risk & getting someone a bit controversial to do it, stir things up a bit. Thinking particularly of someone like John Waters or Eoghan Harris. People would definitely tune into that, even if only to be annoyed/offended by them.

She wouldn't have the time what with her presenting 483 other shows on RTE at any given time.

Craig Doyle. They deserve each other.

RTE should arrange to have Carmen Electra appear on the show some night as a guest, have her kick Tubridy off the set, and she take over as the next presenter there and then. Watch the ratings soar.

George Fcuking Hook would be my choice. I wouldn't watch it though as I cant stand the aul fat bastard but hopefully the program would crash and burn and him with it.

My second choice would be Twink, the mangey aul wizened windbag for the exact same reason as above.
