Colts defence has been beyond embarrassing, in competition with the Bucs against the Colts for worst performance all season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

As bad as the Colts have been I wouldn't rule them out of coming back and beating the Steelers. Its just the way they play football it seems, it if looks easy they make it tough, it if looks impossible they get it done.

There's no element of defense at all in that game, wouldn't be surprised if Luck pulled it off. Similar to the Colts and Chiefs game in the playoffs last year.

Three more touchdowns and it's the highest scoring NFL game of all time, and the only one to break 100 points - though a Raiders/Oilers game in the AFL nearly 50 years ago had 101 points.

EDIT: Stupid late night maths attempts... it would need 31 points, not 21. :o

That would only bring it to 90 points.

Only an 8 point game now!!

Well this is turning out to be a cracker in Arizona, Eagles likely to attempt a chip shot FG just after the 2 minute warning to take the lead. Cards with 3 timeouts then get the ball and a chance to win it..

****ing nerve wrecking being an Eagles fan

Sweet Jesus, how did brown get between 2 defenders so easily

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,212 ✭✭✭shamrock55

    Great play there by brown

Did the Cardinals really just rush 6 on that play?

Most combined passing yards in NFL history, surprised the stat happy commentators didn't pick up on/get told that.

Eagles threw that away no way a saftey should get caught that flat footed on a deep route. Can't fault the last drive but a fumble in the 5 and a pick in the end zone rarely ends in a win

Lions/Packers in 2012 went for the most I think mate, 1,000 yards. Tonight was 922 yards.

Terrible play by the Eagles Def to let the Cards take the lead at the end. Frustrating because for the first time in a long time I actually felt confident trusting the defence in that position to do the job.

They'd played well all game so just very disappointing that we lost it like that with a terrible piece of coverage right at the death. 2 very good teams on show today so hopefully can pull ourselves together after that loss as hard as it is to take and regroup for Texans next week.

Was that Keenan Lewis flapping like a duck?

    Motherf*****

We need to have HaHa playing just about every non short yardage down at this point, if you ask me.

Only early but I'm beginning to wonder if the defenses have been given the night off?

An onside kick half way through the 1st quarter and it backfires. Madness.

Atta boy Clay Matthews, nice play. Could be crucial before ht

Enjoying this game, always seems to be a great game between the Saints and Packers.

Saints gain the advantage just before halftime by tying the game as they get it from the kickoff.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,191 ✭✭✭✭Pherekydes

And the Pack comes up with a stop on fourth down! Who knew?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Looks like Rodgers is suffering a bit with his hamstring. Hopefully he is ok, just shows what a difference it makes when a player is not 100%. It was a great drive down the field and then it stalled after he got injured.

Get him off for some hopefully short treatment surely? Not looking great.

Boom, 2nd and 1 and Bree shows off his magnificent arm.

    Rodgers hamstrung?

Streak of 212 straight passes without an interception comes to an end. :(

And Brees puts NO into the lead. :(:(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

Not even a first down but first and 1 when it should have been inches.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,967 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

And I'd say that is that. When the Packers stopped the Saints on the first drive of the second half I thought the game was theirs for the taking but New Orleans and Brees have just upped it to a different gear since then.

Bit early - It's never over. We're on the march at the min, if we get a TD this drive it's within reach.

Rodgers hasn't looked the same since he pulled up and felt his hammy. If this interception turns into points for the Saints I think they would be better taking him out and resting him. You have a bye week next week and it will give him loads of time to recover. No use leaving him out there and he suddenly tries to take off and does more serious damage to his leg.

    Another interception of a deflection!

Stick a fork in it: we're done!

when your qb can barely move you dont leave him in thats common ****in sense

So yeah, EE you were probably right.

Talk about getting rode by the officials there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

    WTF no challenge there?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

A mate dropped over not a Packers fan, reckons that's one of the worst calls all season on defensive pass interfere earlier.

The refs deserve to be brought out the back and shot by sharks with guns in their mouths, and the guns shoot bees.

    WTF no challenge there?

It wouldn't matter if the ball came out at first contact, they're not ruling against the Saints tonight and that's that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,369 ✭✭✭UnitedIrishman

I'm sorry, but that was so dumb by McCarthy. We challenge and we lose, all we lose is TO and we're in the same position. Everyone knows our D can't stop ****. But judging on the video we probably win the challenge. Now its game over. Rest Rodgers and just call it a night.

Gotta say that I've always felt that Hochuli and his officials really do go with the hometown team.

Ah here, Saints D lineman jumps and not a budge from the officials. I'm steamed and I'm best off going to bed before I get more annoyed.

I'm sure it's an old point but that that co-commentator for NBC is incredible with how he can see the game.

Well the same old dom capers is back, defence has been a travesty this half

Chris Collinsworth? Yeah he's really good. Says the odd remarkably stupid thing here or there for whatever reason, but by and large probably the best around at what he does.

Well, the refs did way, way more than their bit to contribute and I can't recall a single bounce that went our way either, but truth is our real defence showed up again once challenged by a good offence, and Dick Lebeau still needs to go. He is good at beating bad offences, but utterly useless at doing anything against good ones. We went on a bit of a tear for the last few weeks, but all along most Packers fans had been in agreement that the quality of opposition played a big role and we were waiting on a real test. And we wiltered on defence, as usual, giving up our trademark 500+ yards, as usual, when faced with one. Seriously, what kind of team gives up over 170 yards on over 7 per carry to Mark fcuking Ingram?

Aye Carlson has pointed a few out (I don't get to watch that much) but Carlson and myself miss other stuff. That he can be so quick to have the marker and comments ready after 95% of plays is seriously impressive though.

That's a fair bit off. From his Int in the Seahawks game, up to his first Int in the Saints game, he threw 143 passes not 212.
