Showbands were way before my time. So i can't fairly judge them in context. But they seem soooo lame I can't even put it into words.

They just seem like a cheap lazy cash in on actual rock and roll.

"I thought U2 would be on last"...

They didnt want the awkward situation in the green room where there were 2 guys that owned 50 houses, sitting beside 50 people that owned no house at all... ;)

Amazing how you still remember the first days at playschool, school etc, probably the sheer horror and shock sticks with you forever.

You have to judge them by their time. They brought (relative) glamour and excitement to small towns across the land, who had previously to make do with ceilis and little else.

You wouldn't think that, from the way that Dickie (come on! Dickie? Jesus) Rock fella goes on. The smarmy head on him.

He should be able to give two or three minutes of stand up before the interview.

Substitute "i" for "a". As in "Kevin Bradges", "takin the pass" etc. ;)
