Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Excellent pass from Jan

    Courtois is some keeper.

What is with the shíte corners?! Seriously... Chelsea have had a good 6 or 7 corners and each one of them has been absolutely shíte...

Why is Mata doing RVP's job as captain?

If Januzaj had a bit more pace he would be mighty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,651 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

    Great ****ing tackle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,364 ✭✭✭✭Kylo Ren

Hazard needs to be shut down. He can make a run from the halfway line to the edge of a box so easily.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,928 ✭✭✭dubmick

    Quality tackle

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

That was a cracking tackle from Shaw, in fairness...

Willian is losing possession far too easily, though. He was muscled off the ball there by, of all people, Juan Mata. You've got to be fúcking kidding me...

Mata tracking back well today. Played well so far.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,481 ✭✭✭Barely There

Man Utd may get out the cheque book and spunk another few hundred million.

They're so far away from Chelsea it's embarrassing.

Mata been doing a lot of work defensively today good to see

Doesn't look like he'll get the better of Ivanovic this evening.

Great turn of pace from Shaw in that challenge looked as though Willian had gone!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Barr

    Great from Matic again

Chelsea keeper is awesome, can see why he is keeping Petr out at the moment.

Chelsea are sorely, sorely missing Costa here. Drogba is just not at the races at all. 2 years ago, maybe. But not now. United's defence look way too composed and confident. With Costa playing, there'd be a real element of panic and "OH JESUS!".

Hazard the only forward doing anything for us this is worrying

Surely as someone who watched him for a long time you should know that Mata is pretty strong.

He's pretty strong, but no way should Willian be losing that battle. In my own opinion, of course. :P

Drogba ... incredible that Chelsea are relying on him with their money. He offers nothing anymore complete shadow of what he was. Chelsea haven't settled in yet. Fabregas is hiding.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

On the basis of the evidence so far, the gulf in class might be fairly large (but perhaps not as large as some think), but the gulf in passion, fire and "being up for it" is firmly in favour of United at the moment. Chelsea have not had a single great chance in the opening 30-odd minutes. Fúck sake.

I'd name my first born Djemba Djemba for a Mata goal.

Drogba lacking the speed to capitalise when he makes interceptions...

This is unfortunately what is happening. For a game of this magnitude, I'd have risked Costa even if he'd had his right leg amputated...

RVP is playing the lone striker role very well so far.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭LightningBlue

    FFS Willian

    I am.

Chelsea dominating possession, creating chances, getting behind Utd regularly.

They should be a couple of goals up at this stage and will win comfortably I predict, by at least 2 goals.

Losing 2 strikers in 2 weeks is the reason bad luck no more

Chelsea haven't dominated, and both teams have got in behind and had good chances.

Open your eyes and take off the blinkers.
