Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Happy enough with 0-0 at half time, and dare I say it, we've looked the better team (United).

We are looking better but we are at risk of giving away penalties

Very risky marking in our box

Just saw the replay for the Chelsea peno. So blatant.

Lets be honest here, its highly likely Chelsea will be scoring in the second half, we really needed to take at least one of those chances......

Yeah i agree. I fear there is a mistake in Rojo. Always thought he was bought to play as one of 3 centre halves but now finds himself in a back 4 and i fear mistakes

Was defo a pen but I'm not listening to any crying about it. Happens on every corner and Ivanovic is as guilty as the rest of them. Can't complain if it was given.

Smalling and Rojo look, as you'd expect, like strangers to one another. Januzaj and RVP our best players so far. Shaw and Fellaini doing well also.

To displace Chelsea legend and mainstay Petr Cech from the number 1 position he has held for a decade you need to be extraordinary, Thibaut Courtois is entirely out of the ordinary, he is the special one. The gigantic Belgian oozes composure and control in everything he does, he's made what could have been a far trickier task into one that can be accomplished.

Chelsea getting nothing off this ref.

Matic lucky to be still on the pitch ,4 bad tackles in the first half, the
ref took forever to book him

He is out of the ordinary? So he is ordinary

We may have gotten away with the pen today, but it's pretty much bang on now that City will get one next weekend if anything similar happens.

That craoc goes on in the box all the time.

You can't selectively penalise it. Either referees do all or none.

Poor play in the final third from Utd costing us against a vastly overrated Chelsea side.

Januzaj and Hazard looking the only players capable of making something happen for either team. I'd love to see Wilson get some game time.

Chance to get a quick post in...only weak link is rafeal. Hope to Christ he doesn't do something stupid. Chelsea are targeting him every time.

As for the chances I agree we have got to be better, the amount of screams at mata in the pub when he fluffed that chance

He's good but not unbeatable. Has time to improve of course. Cech wasnt all that in my opinion. His trajectory plateaued after Steven Hunt kneed his head

Its hard to break Chelsea down ,they have ten men behind the ball most of the time and are showing hardly any initiative to go forward.

Its the usual park the bus away from home strategy from The Special One ,who will be happy with a point after City's slip up yesterday .

Already happy enough with this performance. Even if we lose it, things are starting to take shape now. Just need one of our well paid strikers to hit a purple patch and we'll be doing well.

Not sure what game you are watching but it certainly is not being played at OT

Chelsea the worst I've seen them all season.

Matic lucky to be still playing. Needlessly fouling too. On at least two occasions the ball was there to be won and he took the man even though there wasn't an imminent threat of a counter attack! Baffling!

Utd almost shot themselves in the foot with some sloppy passes/communication. Can't really fathom Chelsea being as poor in the second half.

    United should be leading.

If they're parking the bus it's a very stretched and open bus. Loads of space. Not the tightly compact one holding deep that you normally expect.

Yeah I'm not seeing a park the bus match here at all. Both teams are taking turns to attack. Been a pretty decent game

Thought they defended really well in fairness, men behind the ball....yes...but solid.

Whatever happened to the svelte Dowd of last season?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,017 ✭✭✭Chagan

Chelsea only lost 9/39 at OT. Impressive.

    How have Chelsea not scored.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

Hazard should have just had a swipe at that and hoped for the best. At least it would have counted as a shot...

In fairness, United have had the better chances. Chelsea are woefully toothless without Costa or Remy.

It's like last season all over again.

I'd bring on Schurrle soon for Drogba. To hell with it.
