Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

RVP needs to do better at that post. Superb from De Gea beforehand though.

I didn't see the goal clearly, can anyone explain to me why it was Rafael marking Drogba at a corner?

    What the **** happened there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,012 ✭✭✭✭titan18

De Gea would have saved that had it not been for the touch off the United player. Should go down as an OG

When people are shouting bext summer for central midfield signings we also def need a RB that can defend!

He has marked him all game. United have Rojo, Smalling and Fellaini. Nothing height wise beyond that

    RVP should have stopped that.

The fact that the shot would have been on target anyway without the deflection from RVP means that it counts as a goal for Drogba.

Any shot that is on target, but takes a deflection on the way through, and results in a goal is a goal for the shot-taker, not an OG.

    Fellaini up top now.

    Project Hoofball has commenced.

Could have sworn I had seen Fellaini on him earlier, which made sense.

Something very wrong when a premier league club puts one of its tallest players on the post and one of the smallest marking the main striker for a corner like WTF??

Doubt it. Chelsea will do what Chelsea do best - sit back.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

We need to do things quicker in the final third to have any chance of scoring. The amount of times they cut back and allow Chelsea get back into position is criminal

And pick Utd off with ease.

Really don't care it goes down as a Chelsea goal that's all that matters

    Mata having a stinker.

    Not a hint of urgency

    Hazard is a great player.
United need to get Januzi into the game more. They have stopped playing the ball to him and he's their best bet to get in behind Chelsea.

There is always a possible brain fart in Cahill so a second would be nice, though we will see Obi soon

And pick Utd off with ease.

In what sense? Fending off United or in their counter attack?

Rules of the game say otherwise, goalbound

They don't need a whole lot of fending off right now, in fairness.

Mikel warming up... the shutters are coming down... not prematurely, I hope. Not another repeat of the City game...

    Hazard getting no decisions.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

    Blatant push there by Ivan.

The worrying part is, Di Maria hasn't really shone, so he is due a moment of magic... :/

Not even a foul no mind a booking

That, combined with how bad RVP has been, is a major worry right now.

    Mata off for Wilson.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,603 ✭✭✭grumpymunster

Not done a lot Oscar was coming after the booking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,688 ✭✭✭Nailz

Di Maria has been relatively poor today, Fellaini, Januzaj and Rafael have been excellent though.

Di Maria's quiet game is giving me hope he'll pull something out nowhere. Or maybe he'll come off after 70, who knows?

    Come on Wilson.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,493 ✭✭✭DazMarz

I'm still wary. I reckon Chelsea will need a second to be sure of the 3 points... otherwise, a single moment of magic from Di Maria or RVP or someone, could undo the whole thing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Gonna be the 4411 thing again

Scoreline flattering Utd, Chelsea aren't impressing despite being dominant.

Jesus, either we give away penalties or we just let them trot past . . .
