Absolutely, but his view would have been mopped up in even less time on the politics, economy or environmental forums.

In fact if any non-mod had posted such a thread it would have most likely been directly moved to a more suitable forum.

I don't log in to After hours to read about saving the planet.

you really believe they didn't know exactly what they were doing? come on now
May I suggest you go back and read what I actually wrote?
They knew exactly what they were doing. Which doesn't mean that they were smart enough to foresee all the possible consequences of their actions.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

right, sorry what i meant to say was do you not think that by vertue of them being too big to fail that they knew well what the consequences are when the arse falls out of it and just did it.

bottom line is that even with more regulation here and there the banks eventually work ways around the blocks put on them and unless there's some serious consequences for acting the bollocks with the worlds financial system we will be back here again, if we ever get out of recession that is

we are out of recession, you mean if we ever pay off our debt which won't be possible unless we make some major cuts to spending.

Sorry for digging this up but there's far too many people saying this on Boards and not enough people correcting them. FM104 is owned by UTV, nothing to do with DOB. :)

It's not my world, it's the banker's and the powerful's world, I am grateful they are keeping me in it and I worship at their altar :):)

Most, if not all, the problems listed ultimately come down to the excessive global population, placing pressure on resources, ever present need to expand, over consumption etc.

Tackle population growth, stabilise and reduce to a reasonable level the global pop and most of the problems will reduce. But there isn't a country in the world (apart from China in a ham fisted way) interested in dealing with it.
