Hi, When you return a leap card to a shop. Do you only get your 5 euro back or do you also get what ever credit is on the card back? Thanks

You cannot get a Leapcard refund at a shop,however you will get both deposit and credit refunded by using this form......

I think you're thinking of London where you can just walk into any Underground station and return your Oyster card, getting the deposit+credit back.

Leap requires you to download a form, fill it out using a biro nominating a bank account in ROI, post it off, and wait for the funds to be returned to you, all the while leaving the staff in the train and DART stations free to look out the window.
