Suggestions for budget build

Hello, I'm new here and I am looking for some suggestions in building my first (budget) pc. I have some basic understandings about what things do, how everything fits together, and what I need. I did some research and made a list of parts I think would work well for me and my price limit (around 500$), but I'd like some input from experienced builders on any problems I could have or if something could be improved.

What I'll be using it for:
-Medium grade gaming
-Light video editing
-3D animation/rendering

For gaming, I don't need the best. I'm not going to cry if I can't play Battlefield 4 High settings 60+ fps. I played through the Tomb Raider reboot on a laptop with an average of 10 fps.

Power Supply: Corsair 430W ATX12V

Sorry I can't use links because I'm new. I'd love some suggestions or pointers on how to go about this, I really don't want to run into major problems half way though. Also good to note that I will also be purchasing a keyboard and possible a second monitor (I already have a good one).

Have a look at bloodbaths build below in the thread for 400. Processor can be overclocked to 4.5 ghz as well. Decent machine.

That build is a little out of date. This would be more suited for the op.

Is that the anniversary edition not better than the I3's especially when overclocked?

It's better in some things, the same in others (mostly games). If the OP's going to be doing 3D rendering and video transcoding, the i3 will be faster than the Pentium.

It has better single thread performance when overclocked.

However the 2 extra hyper threading threads on the i3 give it an edge on programs that can make use of them.

It should last a bit longer than the pentium.

Hi guys,
I'm looking to build my first pc for similar requirements as OP, but budget is slightly bigger at €700 - €800:

Requirements similar:
* 3D rendering/animation (Blender)
* Photoshop etc.
* video capture/editing
* gaming
* supports two monitors
* I'd like the games to run as close to 30 - 60fps if possible.

Would you make many changes to the list provided above?
Where would be the best place to spend the difference (graphics card, motherboard)?

Thanks, never built a PC, so would really appreciate advice.
